Q: I know they are used in different intensities but can anyone approximate how many ounces of ink these crystals make?

Label states: “dissolve 1 level teaspoon in 1/2 cup hot water to make approx 2.5% solution” Hope that helps.

Q: Does anyone know if this can be diluted in alcohol (e.g., denatured alcohol), as opposed to water?

I would imagine so but don’t know from experience or having tried. At least I answered without belittling you for asking. I’m thinking you wanted to try and use this to make alcohol ink.

Q: It says it's archival-- is it also lightfast?

I like it and a little goes a long way. I am not sure what you mean by "lightfast" but it doesn't fade on fabric once it is dry. It might fade if used on something that would be frequently washed.

Q: The size says 2 pack, but the description says one. Which is correct?

When I ordered it I only received 1 jar that is 2 ounces.
