Replacement Battery kit For Google Nexus 5 LG D820 D821 Battery BL-T9

Cheapest quality of tools imaginable. Both prying tools broke within seconds of using them. The one designed to pry the back cover off was shaving like soft cheese and was only able to pry one corner before it snapped (and I was using gentle pressure - not hard at all). The second prying tool snapped under gentle pressure on the very first attempt to remove the plate after removing the 6 screws. Was able to get back plate off with the mini flathead screwdriver as well as removing the two cables with the screwdriver as well. The battery was not gently glued into the device as the instructions suggested and as one video I watched suggested. I gently tried to loosen it from all sides and ended up puncturing the battery which caused it to become a roman candle and almost set the house on fire. I would highly recommend not purchasing this kit, even though I think it would have been successful if the tools were of better quality plastics. Extremely displeased and now have a fried Nex 5. My advice is spend a few dollars more and take it to a local battery service store who repairs cell phones.

I received this and installed it into my Nexus 5 on May 14th. By October 8th this battery failed to charge right and was making the phone shut down when every I try to use on battery. When plug into USB/AC line all was Ok and battery would show fill charge. As soon as I would go on battery only phone would cut-off. I replaced the battery, again from an other vendor. Hope this one last longer.

The battery looks OEM but I highly doubt it is lol....however, it holds charge and it works well. On a side note, 2 of the tools broke while trying to replace the battery. Nothing too problematic as I had a flat-head screwdriver. Will update in a few months to say how the battery is doing.

The battery was easy to install. For a while, my battery life improved. But now the odd behavior has returned. The battery simply won't charge at times. I wonder if there is (somehow) a software problem with the Nexus 5.--I am revising this review. The battery charging is much better than before, though not perfect. It is a much better solution than just giving up on the phone.--I am revising this review again. I got a new battery charger. Now the problem is gone, and the phone can be quickly charged to 100%. So checking the charger is much simpler than changing the battery, which perhaps was not a problem at all.

The first battery I purchased had a defect, I contacted the seller and he immediately sent me another one without question. I got the second battery and now it is working how its supposed to be. Everything is great and holds a charge well.

This battery does it's intended task. So far, so good. I agree that the battery is NOT an OEM LG, the tool kit is missing pictured pieces, and the little tools break almost by looking at them. But, what do you expect for 15 bucks? Only time will tell how long this thing lasts.

The battery fits and works so all ok on that score. The tools supplied with the battery were very flimsy and bits broke off all the pry tools. The screwdriver was not the best Phillips drive fit for the screws.Overall, an inexpensive way to get maybe another couple of years out of the phone.

Tools are really cheap and the pry bars break within 1 minute.For Nexus 5 users. Your battery is stuck inside the phone so will need to have a special flat metal tool to lift.
