Bought this to repair a hairline crack in bathroom sink. Brilliant product. Easy to use but smells awful. Open a window!

Concerned that most glues say, works on most plastics, but do not. This product worked well on hard plastics.

I love the JB Weld 5 min and 1 min epoxies because I have very small projects that I don't want to use clamps or tape for and wait 12 hours to set. The times on the package are accurate -- you get about 60 seconds to work with the "1 Minute" product, in other words, but it will need to fully dry over night. You won't need anything to hold it in place, though, because after 60 seconds, it's clear sludge and not 'workable.' I see a lot of the negative reviews are either A) "it didn't bond X to Y" or B) "it didn't withstand heavy use" or C) "it never set." If it didn't bond your items, it might be a function of the smoothness of what you're trying. Something porous like glass or metal to wood will work very well. Metal to plastic will also work very well. But two smooth surfaces like glass to glass will yield a less desirable result, like perhaps epoxying the glass handle that broke from a glass water pitcher. Whether your project survives heavy use is a function of how much epoxy you use. I wanted to glue my child's backpack strap to the pack (the stitches ripped). That's both heavy use and a bit of a risk that cloth to cloth won't hold. So I used an entire tube which worked well. People expecting to use two or three dabs to hold a car door on will be disappointed because surface area matters. As for people saying it never set, they probably somehow got defective tubes that both had glue and no hardener. Or they failed to mix the product (which, admittedly, you do not have a lot of time to do). I recommend trying the JB 5 minute if you need to position small things juuuuust right and the JB 1 minute if you can put your items into place without needing to spend time adjusting them.
