I'm not sure if it went out or not because the I had other issues and the entire range needed to be replaced due to the oven not keeping temp. It wasn't the igniter though. It seemed to keep right on keeping on. I even saved it in case something down the road goes wrong with the new unit we bought. Good deal. Easy fix. Good price. You might have to bend part of the housing to get it to fit in place of the old unit but that's easy enough.

I ordered this part and an identical part; while I didn't use this item because it arrived later than the other part, it seems like it would have worked. The only apparent drawback is that this part is Chinese (the other part that got to me first was made in the USA), so I'm not sure how 'OEM' it is.

Actually I ordered two for my oven, I was a little skeptical about it, but when I installed it and turned the oven on, it lit in like 15 secs, I was blown away. I was I'm glad I bought two, so now I will be ordering more. Thanks

Our gas range is over 20 years old, but looks great and works great, except that the oven had been unable to reach the proper temperature and maintain it. After doing some searching on the internet, the most common problem like this was a damaged igniter. We got our owner's manual and took the oven apart and removed the igniter and searched online for a replacement. This part that we ordered from North America HVAC looked exactly like ours. We received it promptly and used instructions on a repair video to hook it up to the harness which was still good. Replaced all the items we had taken off and the oven works like new. We are very appreciative that there are outlets available to help a person do the repairs themselves and not have to call a repairman.

Product did not come with the wiring splice marrs as depicted, but I had some at my disposal.For the non-tech, it's an easy fix for your oven - removing a few metal panels and slicing a few wires. Better than calling in an appliance guy and spending $500. But exercise good safety caution in all cases as we all know natural gas BURNS.If your oven is not working, or not coming up to temp, or seems to not be lighting normally (possibly even catching a odor of gas). Remove the burner panels at the bottom of the oven and light your oven. These elements are designed to stay on throughout the the time the oven is lit and glow a bright orange. If the element is burnt out, or like in my case, slowly degrading, the element will not glow consistently.Ensure the wiring follows the original path, take lots of pictures BEFORE you remove just so you can reference them if the future.ALSO - these are carbon elements and quite delicate (ie: why the steel cage around it) so treat them carefully.My original lasted 9 years, Expecting the same from this unit.

Fit exactly the same as OEM and works flawlessly. We have had ours in operation now for a few months with no problems at all. Installation took about 15 minutes but could have been faster if my old bones didn't take so long to get up off the floor to look for tools. The local shop quoted me $80 for this part, this was a great savings and I'm really glad I did the installation myself and saved another $100 or more.

Fits and works like a charm. Delivery service was A1 . Stove oven works like new. Thank you. by replacing this part it rectified the smelly gas and small explosion sound when oven would go on and off.

Worked great, price for same item in US is $17.51, don't get why item is $40 CDN in Canada. Appliance dealer wanted $106.00, don't get that one at all. But for the Blue Star range it is an excellent replacement and it works, same ignitor that appliance dealer selling for over $100 CDN
