Excellent for ATMOS effects!!
Purchased these pairs recently to experience ATMOS Height virtualization through Onkyo-HT398, 3.2.1 Setup, and it was banged right on with Netflix Selected Dolby Atmos series/Movies, Installed in Ceiling, happy with sound quality and effects even though pushed with 100 Watts, Highly recommendable!

Cracking Sound for the Price
When I renovated my house I ran in speaker cable pretty much everywhere to fit installation units. I wanted things to be neat and tidy with no cables in sight. As part of this I fitted a couple of small kitchen speakers which, were moderate in price with adequate but not startling sound quality or volume. Having moved on from much of the work I revisited these speakers and wanted something better that would still fit between the beams which in my house in that area are very close together as it's a flat roof used as a veranda. Thus I bought these because they were as big as I could fit and the price was very reasonable. I figured that even cheap(ish) speakers if bigger would give a better overall experience. But - they have proved far more than that. The sound quality really does belie the price by some considerable margin and the volume can be far higher. I really do think that these are an utter bargain at the price. In fact I have some more expensive Polk ones that are no better if I'm being absolutely honest. Not only do they sound excellent they are really well made too. The quality of materials and components is very good and fitting them is a doddle. You cut the hole, fit the speaker cable and insert into the recess. Then tighten the three screws that flip a catch down into place. The grills are simply held on with magnets and the whole shebang is nearly totally flush with the ceiling.I couldn't be happier.

Tiny speaker, tiny sound
Overall OK'ish speaker, Sound is quiet thin and lags any true bottom, as would be expected from a 4" speaker, but its struggles producing anything about 15kHz too so sounds a bit like an old phone line. It is a bit flimsy, the magnetic grill comes off very easy when handling the speaker, but as it's going to just sit in the ceiling that should not be an issue. When I ordered there were an offer of just about £30 or £15.20 per speaker, so I guess it's not fair to expect a lot for that price, but as I have bought multiple speakers 6" paying just a little extra, that sounded a lot better, and if I wanted more than 1 pair of these the price was a lot higher for the next pair.I can say that this speaker will never be the choice for me going forward. I am sure that with the right "custom" backbox and maybe som pre EQ it might be able to produce acceptable sound and for places where size matters it does take up very little space, so I will not be returning but I'm happy I only bought one pair and might put them in a garage or a space where they are nice to have but not really going to be used.

Great compact ceiling speakers.
I wanted some relatively discreet speakers for a bathroom and these seemed to be the perfect size. I was a little worried about some of the comments concerning sound quality and when I set these up for a quick test on the kitchen table my worries were confirmed as the speakers sounded quite tinny and lacked base. However, on installation into the ceiling, the sound quality changed dramatically for the better and I am now very happy with them. Installation was a breeze and they look very tidy.

Great for the price
Sound is a little flat, bass etc doesn't really shine through. But at the price and size of the speakers this is really what you should be expecting
