Cute Co-op Game!
The Fairy Game by Peaceable Kingdom is a cute game! My 3.5 year old really enjoys playing this game. The first day we opened it we played it 6 times in a row and she asks to play it everyday. I don't get sick of it either, which is great for me! my 7 year old son wasn't too excited to play "The fairy Game" at first, but at the end of the game he said, "That was really fun, mom!" Needless to say it is a favorite! The object of this cooperative game is to collect all 4 colored jewels before Mr. Winter freezes the flowers. If Mr. Freeze gets 4 snowflakes on any 1 flower he wins. If you, as a group, can collect all 4 jewels before a flower is frozen then you win! Co-op games have been a really big hit in our family. It's great to play with each other instead of against each other for a change. It has taught them teamwork. For ages 5+ (But my 3.5 year old picked it up just fine. She needed a little more help the first few rounds, but does great now.) 2-4 Players 15 minutes Game includes: Game board - A nice, sturdy board with cute artwork 13 Snowflake tokens - sturdy tokens with a cute snowflake 57 Fairy garden cards - 35 fairy, 3 unicorns, 4 wands & 15 mr. winter. Thick card with cute artwork on both sides. 4 Jewel tokens 44 Snowstorm cards 1 Box - Very cute artwork and sturdy. The instructions are built in on the lid of the box. It's very convenient! Overall this is a fun game. Peaceable Kingdoms makes their games with kids in mind. The quality of all their games prove that. I would recommend this game to my family and friends for their 3-8 year olds!

For family game night we play this one a bunch of times! I'd go as far as to say I love it.
I bought this for my kids, a boy aged 4.5 and two twin girls just turning 7. They're kind of in that stage where they get upset when they lose. This game encourages everyone working together toward a goal. The instructions are a little convoluted but once you play it a few times everyone catches on. The art is beautiful and the pieces are high quality. Between this one and the mermaid game by the same company, this one is their favorite. They love getting the fairies and especially the unicorns, which makes it a little difficult to give them up (object of the game), but that's more on my kids than the game. When we do lose we just kind of go "oops! Oh well. Want to try again?" and everyone excitedly agrees. No tears or fighting or grumpy walk-offs. For family game night we play this one a bunch of times! I'd go as far as to say I love it. I will be looking into the company's other games as this one was a huge hit and it brought us closer. Thank you for the great product. Tip: make sure you shuffle reeeally well. We learned the hard way that the discard pile usually has a lot less of the helpful cards than the problem cards, and it can cause you to lose in record time without even a chance.

This is one of our favorite games to play
This is one of our favorite games to play. The object of the game is to collect all the jewels from the flowers and place them in the wand in the center of the board before any of the flowers freeze. You shuffle the cards and each player takes one card at a time from the stack, so each player has their own hand of cards, up to a limit of 5 cards at a time per player (if you already have 5 cards, you have to choose one you already have to discard before picking another card). You collect a jewel by getting 3 fairies of the same color flower and jewel. Unicorn cards allow you to give one of your cards to another player (so if one player has 2 pink fairies and another player has one pink fairy and a unicorn, that person can use their unicorn to give the pink card the the other player so they now have 3 pinks and can collect the pink jewel). Wand cards allow you to remove one snowflake of your choice at any time. Mister Winter cards require you to draw a card from the colored snowflake stack and place a snowflake on the corresponding colored flower. When any flower has 4 snowflakes, the flower is frozen and the game is over. I like this game because, since each player has their own hand of cards, it's a cooperative game in which you are doing more than just taking turns doing the exact same thing as the other players, if that makes sense. Usually we just have 2 players, but we've played with 3 and I've noticed it is more difficult and requires a little more strategy since the cards are spread to more players (like instead of one person getting 2 pinks and the other getting 1 pink and a unicorn, with 3 players, each might have a pink, making it harder to trade and consolidate). I'd imagine 4 players would be even more difficult. But it's still a great game and one of our favorites.

Good family game.
I would recommend purchasing this game. My five year old daughter loves it and wants to play it constantly. This is our first cooperative play game and it has been great for family bonding. My two favorite parts of this game are, first, that one round of the game can be completed in about 10 minutes. (I grow weary of games like chutes and ladders that can last and last.) Second, this game does require some thought and strategy. Mr. Winter seems to win and loose a decent amount for our 3 person play. I deducted a star from this review because of all of the cardboard pieces. I would have preferred cute little plastic snowflake and gem pieces. I really wish game manufacturers would go away from using only the bare minimum for game materials but this particular game does seem to use a higher quality (durable) cardboard and card stock. Overall I would recommend.

Four Year Old Niece Loves It
This is incredibly sturdy for a board game, a super cute concept, pleasing design and very cooperative. Gave it to my niece for her 4th birthday and she is obsessed with it. We make it more fun by sending the triplets (three of a kind fairies) "to bed" (discard pile) with kisses and Mr. Winter with a request not to come back. She thinks its hilarious and adds clever little things like the three fairy cards physically pushing the gemstone into the magic wand and crossing her fingers before each draw. It's a quick game so doesn't take a large time investment. We haven't played it with other kids yet, but have played it with Grandma and Aunts and it is bearable for mom and other adults to endure. Some kids games can be so tedious. (I mean this one will get tedious eventually (she asks for it every single day) but the prettiness of it helps...Five stars. Wish there were more kids games likes this. For sure get it for the young'uns in your life.

Our 4 yo absolutely loves it
This is how you make a little board gamer! We tried some board and card games before, some were loved, some were okayed. This one was an absolute hit from first go. We played in a group of 5, 4 of which were grown ups, but all had great fun. The rules are very easy and quick to understand, and the game develops strategic thinking even in 4 year olds. And it's cooperative which removes the kids frustrations when they lose.

Cute theme, but not that exciting
We love cooperative board games and peaceable kingdom have some great ones. We picked this one because it felt a bit different from your typical 'move pieces around the board' game. The aim is to collect four coloured gems (by collecting sets of matching-coloured fairies) to power a magic wand before Mr Winter manages to freeze the garden by putting snowflakes on the flowers. This game is 100% luck. You win or lose based on which order the cards come out of the deck, and there's no opportunities to make any real decisions or use even basic strategy. It doesn't give that satisfying feeling of achievement when you win because the game basically plays itself and you just move the bits around as instructed. It might work for very young children but even my seven year old seems a bit old for it. We much prefer Hoot Owl Hoot (which lets you talk through your choices and plan ahead in a very simple way) and Dinosaur Escape (which has a memory matching element) from peaceable kingdom - both still very easy beginner co-operative games but which feel more engaging.
