Not what I was hoping for, but probably very nice for specific types of banners and banner use.
The stand's probably a nice stand for what it is, but it just wasn't what I was hoping for. It's very attractive (a nice matte silver finish) and lightweight - feels like aluminum. The feet are attached directly to the bottom bar, which makes the thing bottom heavy and less prone to wobble than I expected, and the feet swivel neatly to the side for storage. All of the pieces break down small enough to fit nicely into the carrying bag and it isn't hard to set up. It doesn't feel cheap.Unfortunately, although you can adjust the height of the banner stand from the top, the bottom doesn't move, so the bottom of the banner always has to be on the floor. (I was hoping to use this one behind a table since my last telescoping stand adjusted both ways.)The bottom portion isn't a clip - It's a tube with a piece of clear plastic coming from the inside of it that has a strip of adhesive on it that you're supposed to use to attach your banner. I couldn't tell you if it's permanent or if it actually rolls up into the thing like it's supposed to since I didn't get that far.The top bar is a clip that's held on to the back bar by the tension of the poster. If there isn't enough tension or the poster twists for any reason, the entire clip slips out of position and falls off the stand. It's also not a very strong clip. My medium weight outdoor banners slipped right out of it under their own weight after about two minutes, so even if you have a lightweight banner, it's going to come out by the time you attach the tension bar unless it has some sort of lip on it for the clip to grab onto.As far as the telescoping bar goes, the plastic fitting in the middle cracked when we tightened the bar into position and the bar became permanently stuck in position. We're used to working with relatively sturdy materials, so it's probably not a common problem, but keep in mind that you may need a light touch when setting this up and taking it back down.

Two Stars
Banner does not retract back into the stand, very frustrating.
