I initially bought these isolation feet for my 1970's Pioneer turntable. The original feet had cracked and fallen off years ago and the Bigfoot replacements worked great, even though I couldn't securely attach them to the turntable like the old feet.But then I had an insight. Whenever I was in the basement durning the summer months, I could hear the pool pump droning outside, vibrating through the ground and foundation wall. It was more than a little annoying when working in my basement studio. Then I thought of the isolation feet and put them under the pool pump. What a difference! Noise transmission has dropped dramatically. Who'd have thought?

I have a Prusa 3D printer sitting on a desk in my office, formerly sitting on a granite countertop in the kitchen. The printer wasn't very loud in the kitchen, but moving it to the office significantly increase the sound while printing. My research on sound damping for 3D printers indicated the best solution is to place the printer on a heavy mass and isolate the mass from the support surface with vibration dampers. After looking at various vibration dampers it seemed that this product would handle the total weight of the granite plus printer, so I ordered a set. The granite surface plate I ordered to place under the printer was taking a long time in shipment, so I decided to see what the vibration dampers would do under the printer feet. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of sound damping provided by this set up. Mid to high frequencies are very well damped by this arrangement, making the printer noise less obtrusive. I could live with the present arrangement, but will install the granite plate when it arrives, to better match the weight rating of the dampers. I may order another set of lighter dampers and place them between the granite plate and the printer feet to see if there is further improvement. All in all, a great product: well made and very effective at vibration damping.

I used the Bigfoot isolation pucks to reduce the low frequencies transferring through the floor. These work extremely well. I can feel the difference myself and have even tested with a crude meter with respect to vibrations. Helps reduce boomy sound and unwanted room vibrations.
