Kyle Books Turkish Delights: Stunning regional recipes from the Bosphorus to the Black Sea

Bought this lovely cook book after a trip to Istanbul, where we ate fish baps freshly fried over a fire on the shore of the Bosporus, hoping to recreate a few culinary memories from the book , it’s well laid out and has beautiful photosPlease take a moment to push the helpful button and make my time typing up and reviewing worthwhile 🥰

Recipes are, I would say, interpretations of Turkish classics, so not the best book if you want to cook really authentic food. Also the Turkish names are written without Turkish letters, so it’s a struggle to read if you know the Turkish words. For example, ‘balik’ instead of ‘balık’, sounds totally different

Beautiful book. Each recipe has a photo and there are so many recipes I want to try. I have just marinated the chicken pieces for the chicken shish and I'm soaking the skewers for threading the chicken onto. It smells delicious. That's lunch on the BBQ tomorrow. Tonight we had the lemon apricot cinnamon chicken and it was so simple to make and even though there's time spent prepping the dish, the actual cooking takes the time it takes to cook the pasta. Truly delicious! Can't wait to try more from this book. It's filled with so many fragrant dishes you can almost smell them as you browse through the book

We went on holiday to Turkey this tear and wanted to re-create some of the fantastic food we had whilst there. This book hasn't disappointed. We have tried a lot of the recipes and they have been lovely and not too complicated difficult to do. In addition the ingredients can be easily found and are not really expensive - would definitely recommend

This is such a fabulous book. I want to try every single recipe in it (well, almost). This is just the kind of food I love and I truly can see me making lots of these tempting dishes. I love all the explanations about Turkey and the ones before each recipe and the fact they say “if you don’t have this, you can replace it with that”. My only complaint is that I would’ve loved a photo for each recipe.
