Great Fins!
Haven't tried them yet, but in terms of quality, they seem very good. The image is misleading, they are a very flat black rubber. No shine at all, or the apparent two tone effect. Also noteworthy, is that even with Mares being an Italian company, these particular fins are made in Taiwan, and there was a substantial amount of residue left on the rubber from the molding process. All that aside, they are solid fins and will without a doubt last a lifetime. The connections for the bungie straps are molded right into the foot pocket body and appear to be very solid. The connectors on the end of the straps themselves appear to be the only potentially weak point being made of hard plastic. Should they ever break, I’d replace them with the metal spring straps Mares sells for these. Time will tell.Regarding fit, I purchased the XL size, I also purchased a pair of the Mares Triboot 6.5mm in size 10, and they fit together amazingly well. I typically wear size 11 US mens shoes, and have very wide feet (EEE), and there is plenty of room using this combination. I used one bungie extension on each fin to loosen the heel strap slightly and they seem very comfortable. Don’t expect to be using these with nothing but socks, or boots without a thick sole, the foot pocket has quite a lot of room to it. I’m going to heat them and attempt to get a bit more height (a few millimeters) by compressing the pocket very slightly from the sides to reduce the slight pressure on top of the boot from the foot pockets edge. As mentioned earlier, very comfortable, just me being a perfectionist and looking for the best fit I can get from them. Definitely not complaint worthy.I’ve seen complaints of these being too heavy, but I believe that is just from people used to using more modern plastic fins. I’d bet these would outlast plastic ones for sure, they are a very solid feeling fin. Again, haven’t tried them in the water yet, but no apparent issues. Buy them!

Strong Performers
I've been diving for quite a few years and, like most long-time divers, I have accumulated a lot of fins – plastic blade fins, split fins, jet fins, nova fins, you name it. Out of all the fins in my "collection", the Mares Power Planas are my favorites. They are negatively buoyant in the water, perform very well with all kicking styles (flutter, frog, back kick, helicopter), extremely durable, and are much easier to kick than a lot of other blade fins. The foot pocket is comfortable and it's apparent that Mares put a lot of thought into its design. Some divers prefer the steel spring straps over the more comfortable Mares patented bungee straps, but not me. While spring straps are very durable and useful for trimming out your feet, I have been quite happy with the bungee straps. I have over 100 hours of dive time on mine, with the majority of dives being at rocky dive sites, and they have held up beautifully!SizingI have found Mares sizing chart to be quite accurate. Personally, I use the X-Large fins with my bulkier drysuit boots (men's size 11-12 US/46-47 EU) and Regular size when diving the narrower ScubaPro rock boots, Converse All-Star shoes (12 US / 47 EU) or my warm water wetsuit boots.

Stiff and Huge
Had to return them. I wear a men’s US size 8.5, so I ordered a Small fin. A Mares small is massive even with my 3mm booties. Not even close to fitting.

Sehr gute Flosse
Haben die gleiche Power wie die Plana Graphit.Der Rist ist deutlich höher als die Graphit.Sind aber schwerer.Als Flossen für den Trocki und wenn sie nicht mit in den Flieger müssen kann ich diese Flossen empfehlen.
