Great size for tiny kits!! Large and small sizes are available.
I like Sakura water brushes because they have different length barrels and bristle point sizes available in different packaging choices. The points are lovely. The small barrelled brushes obviously don't hold as much water (you can get the round brush tips in s, m, & l), but they fit in Altoids' tins, etc. and are great for tiny paint kits. The larger barrels are pretty standard sized (with the same brush points (s, m, & l) too. I forget if they have flat bristle tips, but most brands have flats that splay, so I tend to avoid using that style in any waterbrush anyhow. The only thing i have ever been concerned about is that the little plugs that hold water in the barrels when the brush section is not connected to a tank could be easily lost. They are a clever idea, but I wish there were a more secure way to be sure they have no way to get lost when the barrel (aka the tank) is in use. After a few years of using these, I've been lucky, but it still worries me. Other water brush brands are also good, but if you want or need to pack small, these are great!

Love them!
These water brushes make "art on the road" much easier. While they DO require water for Pen-Ink-Watercolor sketches, the water is largely self-contained *in the brush handle" which, in itself, makes watercolor much more "travel amenable".

Going to buy another set. I’m that happy with it.
Extremely easy to use. Using with Derwent inktense and Derwent watercolor pencils. Using a cold press press 90lb paper for the swatches and it isn’t buckling like it does with a regular brush and water. Great for en plein air. Great for a beginner!

Wonderful waterbrushes!
My daughter was really pleased to get these waterbrushes! They come with a little plug to put on the barrel, which means that you can transport them with water in them. When the two parts are unscrewed the waterbrush is short enough to fit inside an Altoids tin. They suit her needs perfectly and are easy to use. They also arrived before I expected them to. She says she would buy this again!
