Flush Hood Latch and Pin Kit - Black，Universal Racing Car Hood Pin Engine Bonnet Latch Lock Kit

i got this item on 3/29/2021 got them install in the same date and the mechanic took about 1 hour to 1:30. The mechanic test it by opening multiple times to see that it would work not like the first ones that i bought. I did not use the screws that it came with it instead i use rivets. The reason i use rivets is because i feel that the screws were going to be easier to unscrew than the rivets and this are my results.

Used it on my wife's 1999 Mercedes R129 2 door roadster.

purchased in March of 24 survived a direct collision and is still holding, The bolts began to rust shortly after installing keys don't work too well, and the latch sometimes likes to pop up a little rendering the lock useless overall 6/10 should probably look for better quality but they do the job just fine

Most of it is made of cheap plastic even most of the important internals like the actual metal rod that goes through the screw is just help by some very small delicate plastic pieces, if you put these on your vehicle your just going to end up with a busted windshield, either save up your money and get some actual good metal hood latches or some hood pins

Good product would like to see more color options.

Quality can be better.The latches are plastic.The pin and hardware is aluminum.There is no back supporting latch to go to the back of the hood. Only the screws are holding hood and latch together.It’s exactly what you see in the picture.

Honestly, this product was very nicely packaged.Unfortunately the quality of the actual latches was not up to par, but you get what you pay for.The only quality, usable part from this kit was the actual red pins and that’s what I needed since I couldn't find the pins I needed like these sold separately.Parts of the latches are held with what appears to be hot glue. The lip that holds the latches closed is actually chipped/broken and they don’t hold closed. They are cheap plastic and feel like they would break easily with a little force. (Wind blowing the hood up would probably easily snap these)All in all, the latches are mainly for looks I guess but even then the plastic is cheap so you don’t get a very good look. The red pins though are quality, nice, thick, and strong. They have the rubber spacer two nuts and washers and were pretty straight forward to install.

It was harder to install on my truck only because the way I did it. Other then that they are well worth the $
