Revolights Eclipse: Great Lights with Battery Issues
I bought these lights less than two months ago. They work beautifully and random people always give me compliments on them, which means people notice them and won't hit me. Almost 2 months in, the batteries stopped working and I was very upset. The guys at Revolights personally reached out to me and helped me troubleshoot - after a few back and forths we figured out that both my batteries were from their old, defective batch and we later found that one of the rims was also defective. They were so helpful throughout the process and actually sent me replacements for all three free of charge! This is why I'm not updating this review from 3 stars to 5 stars because it's a great team with a great product and great customer support. :D

Work well but might not buy again.
The lights work as intended but pose several issues. They rattle constantly which isn't much more than an annoyance. They are pretty flexible and constantly rub when I hit some rough patches of pavement. My bike can no longer be hung in my garage because of these lights. If I tried to the lights would be ripped off the wheels. Overall they improve my visibility while riding in the dark but they could use some serious improvements.

UNSAFE!
I do not suggest this product to anyone. My dad has wanted these for a long time and we finally gave them to him as a fathers day gift. Well, Fathers Day ended in an ambulance ride. The lights look cool but do not function as a proper source of light on an unlit street. Assembly took forever and was not worth the price. You could do the same job with a light stick strapped to your spoke for a lot less money. This product is advertised as a safe and usable light source but that is not the case.

Two Stars
Installation was very complicated. Will make airing tires difficult. Lights are bright and very visible.

Will get you noticed by cars and pedestrians from very far off.
This light will work wonders at getting you noticed by drivers at night. Unlike with my normal LED lights, I find more drives pulling over to the next lane, giving me space. (almost as if to avoid a UFO)As this model has the battery in the light ring there is nothing installed on the hub or any ugly wires to see when parked in the day time. There are 2 small magnets you have to install on the frame of your bike and that's the only pull ties the entire installation has to use.It comes with the micro USB charging cable but you have to use your own charging brick or a PC to charge. The batteries are very easy to remove and install to the light ring and they do not project from the ring so you don't notice them when they are installed and turned off. However, when the battery is "on" there is a blue light that shines on the left side of your wheels as it revolves (similar to the light you get from a valve cap LED) that I didn't see in any of the videos before if got this.I was concerned as to how it would fit my front wheel as i have a Trek 2.1 2011 model and when i did the revolights dollar bill test, it was just about touching the inside of the fork. I contacted Revolights and was extremely pleased with their response time, customer service is very important to this company. I was told that this model is slimmer / thinner than older models and that it would fit. I'm happy to say they were correct. It did fit with visible tolerance and the inner dimension of my fork at the critical location is exactly 40mm. Also, they paid attention and quickly corrected an error in the product description regarding the battery type that I queried.I took one star away because i find the term "legal headlights" to be misleading. These lights will get you seen from really far away but by no means can they be used as your only source of light for you to see potholes on a street with no street laps.If you are accustom to 500 lumens LEDs, this is no where as bright. You will only see a pothole just before you fall into it, if you are riding 25kph or above.

This is an amazing product. I was a little confused at first about the set-up for this. However, I tried to set it up without reading the instruction. They are thorough; so read that and you'll be great. I watched these guys when it was on kick-starter. It's cheaper than it used to be and super slim, lightweight and the bomb!! There's no issue with braking or anything. The lights are a safe distance from the brake systems.

Idea is great, they look cool as hell during the night but I found them to be too flimsy and need adjustment too often to run true. I also didn't like the look during the day.

Had a little back and forth but overall think they are really nice
If you can get past the pain of installing and forking up for the heafty price tag, then these are a great set of visibility lights. Although, I would not recommend using these as your primary headlight because it is not bright enough to see more than a few feet far in advance. I use an 800 lumen headlight and 300 lumen tail light. These lights really do help with increased side visibility if you like riding at night, as I often do in order to avoid the day’s heat. One feature I’m quite impressed with is the blinking tail light to indicated you are braking.I had to add spacers under the magnet because my carbon frame was to thin in the back since the magnet was not close enough to be effective. Ended up using several more zip ties to keep the spacers and magnet in place but luckily the zip ties blend in well if you have a solid black frame.Haha and I do always turn heads when riding trails, everyone seems quite intrigued.
