Bed is exactly as pictured. I ordered the light color in a queen size and I love it! The cats can vouch for it's comfort, too. There is a gap between the mattress and headboard - probably large enough to fit a pillow standing on it's end. It doesn't bother me nor do the pillows slip down at night. The instructions weren't super clear but the pictures outlined the steps enough to get the bed assembled.DO NOT USE DRILL to build. I know it's tempting but the wood is soft and will split easily. Support pieces must be added to the middle beam; it looks like a few reviewers who experienced the bed collapsing in the middle must have thought the support pieces were scrap as they are unfinished, small pieces.Overall, I would recommend and would buy again as long as someone was there to help put the bed together!

After reading many reviews, I decided to get this bed frame in the color walnut. The box was insanely heavy to bring into my apartment… I had to push it across the floor because it was way too heavy for me to lift. After unboxing all of the components and parts, I got started on separating the parts alphabetically to make it easier when assembling. The instruction manual listed all of the parts and components. More importantly each part was separated my bags with a label (i.e. A, B, C, etc) so that you could easily look between the manual and the parts and pick out which one you needed for each step. They also labeled the wood components with a sticker on each (i.e. 01, 02, 03, etc). The assembly itself was not horribly difficult because the instructions manual was easy to follow, HOWEVER it took me 6 hours to put together. But honestly I am not surprised it took so long because 1) I put it together myself even though it’s a two person job, 2) there are a few steps that could have been completed simultaneously if there are two people working on it, and 3) I use a screw driver instead of a drill which made it a very lengthy process for some of the steps that required with 20+ screws. There are a lot of pieces to this bed frame, but when it is constructed right, it looks amazing! I read some reviews saying the wood was cracked or that some parts were missing. Maybe I just lucked out, but everything arrived in perfect condition. My only complaint is that they do not included a couple of extra screws because some of them stripped very easily which meant that I have a few screws that aren’t completely flush to the frame. With that said, the frame still feels insanely sturdy and I am not worried about it breaking! One last comment I have is that it is squeaky when you get on the bed or move around on it. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but I figured I should mention it since it might be a deal breaker for some people.

This had so many parts, each slat and spindle needed to be attached separately. Be ready with your own extra screw because screws broke in half. Cheap wood, not cut to correct lengths at headboard. I weigh 130 lbs, and sat on the edge of the bed when I had finally finished assembling everything and the lengthwise board snapped in two. The headboard spindled pop out of the sockets because they are nt quite long enough and the screws to attach them are not quite long enough. Overall, you will have to use better screws and possibly replace or reinforce the wood construction. If you are handy this could be a simple fi, but could be a series of challenges if you don't have the extra materials or tools on hand.

The bed frame is nice, it is not an easy piece to put together, parts are mislabeled, spindles were warped. Definitely not for a beginner to attempt to assemble. Instructions were simple enough to follow but the parts didn’t always fit as they should, some of the holes were bigger than the intended screw so wood filler had to be added. I do like the look of the bed though I’m not sure I would recommend it based on the back not being sturdy. No sitting up and leaning back on this bed.

As other reviewers mentioned the bed is not easy to put together but I managed to put it together by myself over a few days. The main reason I’m writing this review is to caution anyone who may read this.. I’ve had this bed for less than 6 months and the legs on middle support beam have since broken off. I had to buy metal legs to add additional support since I didn’t want to purchase another bed frame. Even though I love the look of the bed, I wouldn’t purchase again. It says it supports up to 500lbs but that’s unlikely. My guess is the weight limit is closer to 400lbs. I would listen to the other reviews if you’re unsure if this is the right bed for you.

After reading the reviews I was so scared to order this bed since reviews were so mixed but I love this bed. I have had no issues with it at all. It’s wood it’s sturdy and I love the way it looks. I am so happy I went ahead and ordered it anyway. This was exactly what I was wanting and for the price I got exactly what I wanted. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. I don’t know if others were being just rough with the bed or what but it doesn’t makes any sounds the only thing I noticed that was one spindle moves a little if I hit it. So I don’t hit it lol that’s the only thing I can say about this. I do have the gap on one of the corners were it doesn’t fit flush but I could care less because this bed is beautiful. Very happy I did it.

So I got my bed I was very scared reading the comments about it breaking etc and SO FAR SO GOOD, I read on the manual that it can hold up to 250lbs each side but I wouldn't get the bed if you are over 175 or anything... I'm 120lbs and my boyfriend is 130lbs so it works for us! Sturdy and beautiful!! Only thing about this bed is building it. NOW it is very simple to build, it's just that there's ALOT of steps I wouldn't use a drill for anything needing an allen key because the screws are really cheap and strip very easily only use a drill for the smaller screws needing a screw driver for because I learned that the hard way and immediately stripped two screws. Which is fine I had some replacements from my older bed. BUT DEFINITELY DO NOT USED A DRILL FOR THE SCREWS NEEDING ALLEN KEYS IT WILL STRIP also it took about 5-6 hours to build which is fine it feels like I hand built it x,D there's alot of steps I would definitely suggest not doing it on your own so you don't break any dowels.

Unfortunately, not overly happy. Quality of the wood is not the best, directions to assemble not completely clear. Tools supplied to assemble were a pain to use. The Allen key makes it hard to get a complete turn, if you have a drill bit, would likely make it easier. Couple of the screw holes and screws did not fit together properly, leaving it loose in some areas, making it overall unsteady. If it wasn't such a pain in the a$$ to disassemble and ship back, I wouldn't have kept it.

Updated: Contacted the company and they sent a new bed. I would deal with them again. Took a while to get a response but once we chatted, the new bed arrived within 5 business days and it was hassle-free.One piece of this bed was bent upon arrival. In trying to get a piece, I was told I have to return the entire bed and that they don't honour the shipping cost even though I'm a Prime member. Time consuming to put together but worth it once it's built if you have patience.
