I am not kidding, this is the highest quality tea I have ever found. It is priced so well, too! I bought the English Breakfast Black tea and it arrived yesterday. I opened up the elegantly packaged vacuum seal bag and could see the tea leaves are fresh, uniform in appearance, and of a very high quality. Nice fresh aroma, too. I made a pot and did not have time to drink it because I was heading out to dinner. The tea was left it sitting out on the counter steeping for 5 hours. When I got home, I put the tea in the refrigerator. This morning, I went to drink it cold and was concerned that because I did not follow the proper directions for steeping the tea, it might taste bitter. Not the case at all... I could not believe how smooth the taste was! Even with me not following proper steeping technique, the tea tasted so smooth and delicious! I made a cup of it hot, using the tea leaves I had previously used ( out of curiosity to see how it would turn out) and it was delicious as well! Believe the reviews! This tea is of superior quality and taste and there is no bitterness whatsoever! I have paid a lot more for teas that aren't even in the same league as this tea. This is an exceptional value! I was so thrilled with this tea, that I just purchased the Vahdam green tea, and am excited to try that.

We loved this tea. We’ve bought several bags, and found it deep and fresh, capable of making a strong but not too bitter cup of black tea. But his review is to be focused on two side issues: 1). Because the leaves are whole, you must have a proper teapot with a ‘filter’ - the little holes built into the bottom of the spout. Otherwise the tea will quickly clog up the spout when you pour, and you will lose much of the delightful tea. This was no issue in our regular teapot. But we recently bought a pretty porcelain pot from MOMA, and it turns out it has no little holes to strain the tea in the pot. I suppose MOMA tea drinkers are either brewing with bags, or using crumbled tea. 2). The closing/sealing devise on the bag easily pulls away from the side. This means — after all the effort to bring you great tea, this merchant fails to keep his tea sealed. This is fundamental quality control incompetence. If you are VERY careful you can slide a fingernail along the seam and open the seal without pulling it away from the side. But that only works a few times, and the ziplock pulls away. You then must find a proper storage can. Or, lose your tea quality. We are giving this 5 Stars for the tea quality, and the fact that you can deal with both issues if you are prepared.

Most mornings; 1.5 liters well water, let the boil calm, two full tablespoons of this, 4 minutes brew time - no milk or sugar. So well rounded; soft, leather, tobacco.

I would like to update my review on this product. First of all, I would like to give five stars to the customer service department for their quick response to my disappointment in their product. I received correspondence immediately and a replacement of the product and some additional samples of other teas. The replacement teas were much better; I especially like the flavored tea, "Chai" being my favorite. I give the English tea only 4 stars because I found I have to use more tea than the directions call for and steep it longer. This may be a matter of taste since my husband and I do like our English tea strong and robust. I would recommend this company; they are very customer-service oriented which is a breath of fresh air this day and age.

Vahdam is one of the finest tea producers I have ever tried. LOVE their Masala Chai and the Original English Breakfast Tea. Quality tea and fresh, vacuum packed.

My husband and I drink several cups of English Breakfast tea daily, and Vaddam has been our favorite for years. We haven't found any other loose tea that comes close. We occasionally brew different bagged teas for variety, but Vahdam is our staple.

I ordered five different kinds of teas from Amazon that were produced by Vahdam as I am a avid tea drinker and I drink several pots of tea per day. I have to say that I love all of the teas except one, the english breakfast tea, but the Assam Applause, the Darjeeling, the Earl Grey and the Oolong tea are all exceptional. I just returned from a week long business trip and the first thing that I wanted to do was have a cup of the delicious Darjeeling tea, I was thinking about this cup of tea while I was on my trip. The Assam is just as stated above, it is strong, bold and rich, which in my book means very flavorful, and I am sure that is why I was disappointed in the English Breakfast tea as I like a very strong cup of tea in the morning and I was previously drinking another well known brand of Artisan English Breakfast tea and this other brands was a richer and tastier. I was worried about ordering a Oolong from a Indian tea company as I have had no experience with Oolong tea from India, I usually purchase Oolong when I am in Taiwan, and I particularly like Jin Xuan, Dong Ding Oolong as well as Alishan mountain tea, and I happy to report that I love the Oolong tea from Vadham as well. It is really a great cup of tea. The Earl Grey tea is just as described and the cup of tea is so aromatic and flavorful, believe me you have never had such a good cup of Earl Grey.

Absolutely stunning tea, best I've every drank. Initially bought the taster box (with different teas) and this one tastes superb. Real leaves, not "dust", I thought Twinning's tea was good but that that is now a thing of the past.
