Poor quality control
Firstly, NOT the seller's fault, but the manufacturer's.Due to poor construction: 1. the PTT rattles...poor quality from the start, 2. the smaller pin WILL NOT stay engaged in the radio, because its NOT straight. The smaller pin is angled relative to the larger one. They SHOULD be parallel to each other. Because of this the smaller pin will not stay engaged in the socket of the radio. The very weight of the mic cord causes the pin to disengage, loosing the speaker function. There is NO WAY to make it stay in place without putting an elastic band around the radio to HOLD the plug in place. And it so happens that on my radio that puts the elastic band TOO close to the PTT button on the radio.Yes, I cheaped out on an inexpensive mic...but this isn't a case of 'cheap equals junk', it's a case of POOR quality control during construction. It's a microphone, they aren't that complicated (when it comes to hand held microphones).Another issue is that jack for the earphone, on the microphone, does not cut out the mic's speaker when a headset is plugged into the mic's jack. You hear BOTH the headset/earphone AND the speaker on the mic. Rather UNDOING the entire point of using an earpiece with the microphone.Spend a few extra $$'s for a better microphone. And AVOID this particular one.(FYI, I highly doubt this is an actual 'Baofeng' product. Given that the included 'earbud/mic' fits perfectly fine...I'd think Baofeng has mastered how to make a mic stay plugged in)

seems realy toy like
first off nothing can compare you for exactly how tiny these things are. they feel like cheap plastic and you don't get a sense of overconfidence when you plug them in.(this could also be due to the actual baofenge plug as well) they do however work and i suppose they are usable, for the most part. the push to talk button feels a bit spongy and light... easy to false press without knowing it. the size thing, more than anything, is the worst part for me. however that may be a plus for someone looking for concealment.

You Get What You Pay For
I knew these would be cheaply made but I also expected them to work. I bought to and the mic/speakers worked fine but the aux ports didn't (at least mine has them .... saw some reviews where the port was empty). So I took them apart and found they were wired wrong. The speaker should have been wired to the last two points on the right side and the white wire to the left of them. (Looking at the board with the wires pointed at you.) It was wired speaker wire, white wire, speaker wire so I desoldered the first speaker wire and the white wire and reconnected them where they should be. Works fine now.3 stars because they were only $8.50 each and they work (with a simple repair).

Much smaller than it looks, and is of very low build quality
This microphone is much smaller than any other I've ever seen. The build quality is also pretty terrible, inside and out. I can imagine the Tx switch breaking off the PCB very quickly, as the leverage supplied by the large external plastic button would put a lot of force on the completely non-reinforced part. Some reviews say the headphone jack is non-existent on theirs. Mine has a headphone jack, but I have not tested it for functionality. However, I have opened the mic, and there's no reason for me to believe it wouldn't work.
