Matty Matteson, back to being Matty. A far step from the first book, still nice story and pictures. Arrived in good condition. Reads more like something Matty would actually have written and more akin to his shows than the first book.Minor cons - still has some recipes that most won't try (more restaurant than family), some incredients/ recipes not suited to most families taste/budget-one recipe calls for turbot?! (a small one mind... £30?!).I, like most didn't really buy it for a cookbook though its more of a fan/coffee table book.Let's hope no3 is more of a dead set/it's suppertime book.

As amazing as the first book was, I felt like it missed an opportunity to provide some recipes that satiated people’s hunger with simple and easy to cook meals, not that any of the ones I attempted were insanely difficult unless it came down to ingredient availability.But that’s where Homestyle Cookery really wins my stomach, so many easy to make meals and every single one of them is delicious! I didn’t know you could make Bolognese taste better than it already did but hey ho, a bit of milk and some eggs and oh boy you’re into a winner! Who knew.Well worth the purchase and I’m excited to continue trying new things from the book every week.

I haven't even read the book, I just really like Matty so want to support him.

What can I say- Matty’s recipes are great! I started watching him on the YouTube and now I’m hooked. We tried the stuffed butternut squash. Amazing! I got this book as a Christmas gift and it’s fast becoming one of my favourite cookbooks.
