Q: Am I supposed to rinse with water /wash away the Mouthwash? I have the lingering taste of Mouthwash in my mouth and my wife says to rinse with water

When I read on the bottle, it indicates not to swallow and thus rinse... I personally do not think it is a good idea not to rinse. It says on the back of the bottle to swish for 1minute and it specifically says not to swallow it. If you do not rinse it, you are swallowing it. It also instructs that it is better not to eat at least 1/2 hour after the use. I personally advise rinsing after one minute of swooshing because the stuff in it is not the best for the digestive system...it is meant for the teeth only!

Q: what are all of the ingredients in act mint mouthwash?

Act Anticavity Fluoride Rinse only active ingredient is fluoride. The remaining ingredients are all inactive and include blue 1 (coloring), clcium disodium EDTA, cetylpyridinium chloride, disodium phosphate, flavor, menthol, methyl salicylate, poloaxmer 407, polysorbate 20, potassium sorbate, propylene glycol, sodium benzoate, sodium phosphate, sodium saccharin, sorbitol, water and yellow 5. You can get more information on this product at www.actfluoride.com. My dentist recommended it because I never had fluoride as a child and my teeth need some help!

Q: Are you supposed to use this 2x a day to get the same effect as using the high concentration floride once a day? I noticed its not ADA approved.

My dentist said this was the best. You should use it twice per day after brushing (morning and night); do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after use.

Q: Does this mouthwash prevent or remove plaque?

Only manual brushing removes plaque from teeth. Mouthwashes can slowdown build up. The fluoride in the mouthwash helps fill in the enamel to help prevent cavities. This was recommended to me by my dentist b/c it is high in fluoride.
