I loved this! Bought it for a pirate themed (obviously) hen do in York. I've recently lost weight and am a size 16 in some things but a size 18 in others so I was worried about sizings for this. Having read all the reviews, I went for 18-20. When it turned up, it actually said that it was size XL which is a UK 16-18 but I'm really glad as actually an 18-20 would have been way too big. For once, this is actually a generously sized outfit. The bodice part looked lovely and wasn't skin-tight around the back. The back cuts in a square but lands just above the bra line so that was great. The sleeves felt a bit weird when I first put them on (not being used to having elastic around the upper part of the arm) but completely forgot about them over the night and they never moved. The straps of the dress did occasionally fall a little bit as there was a bit of room but not enough to irritate or ruin the outfit. I did purchase a cheap tutu underskirt to give the skirt a bit of body and to have that lovely white ruffle shown in the picture (but not part of the dress), together with some fishnets and short brown boots. The hat was a bit squashed and didn't poof up to look like it did in the picture but I already had a hard pirate hat (which matched my boots) so that, together with a cutlass, completed the outfit. It looked great and I felt really nice in it. I danced the night away feeling really comfortable and had loads of comments on how nice it looked. I'm not usually a fan of fancy dress as it really isn't designed for people who are not skinny (I find in my experience, anyway) so was so happy to have found this. I would highly recommend it. However, if you're between a 14-16 you may want to go true to size rather than thinking you need a size up as I think it would be a bit too roomy. A really lovely outfit.

Great item - these fancy dress costumes usually come up small but sizing was quite accurate for a change. This is an all in one dress. I'm 5'2 and dress comes down to my knees, not as short as on the model who is probably about 6 feet tall :)One thing to point out is that the item is shown with a white frilly underskirt and a big white feather in the hat - this was not on mine !email sent to seller who said it was a mistake and offered a refund - I don’t want a refund! I want what I ordered and a very expensive price for what was sent!Partial refund would have been nice in the circumstances.Weeks on from ordering and seller still hasn’t updated the mis-information with the picture!!!I will be contacting Amazon today with my issue

Really nice fit. I got the xl. 190lbs 5ft7ish.bra is 40D.......the hat is not the typical style, but fits. The feather was in great shape not crushed.... The belt sits a little loosey....but if you pin it down, it will be fine. I purchased a short petticoat/Tutu thing for volume but it still looks good without. I loved that the back is longer for good coverage. Nice for the price ....as a inexpensive costume I was happy with the fit and quality for what is was.

I really liked this costume. I'm 5'9" 160 lbs. and very busty. The XL fit me perfectly and was super cute. I only took one star away because the hat was a complete joke and not even wearable. Luckily the costume doesn't really need a hat so I wasn't too disappointed.
