How long will the ink last if I don't open the package?

HP ink cartridges have a date on the back of the package. Starting around a year ago HP printers will no longer accept a new and unopened ink cartridge that is past this date. In the past you could still use an expired cartridge, but that's no longer the case.

I haven't the foggiest idea. What I can tell you is that the HP 952 Ink cartridge does not work in the HP7740 made for use in the Caribbean. I have had to throw away the HP 952's I bought and purchase the HP 954's instead.

what is the expiration date? My printer will reject it if it is out of date.

The warranty expiration date is two years after the cartridge was manufactured. It's impossible to give you an exact date without seeing the box the ink is in.
