Sinful.
Oh dear lord, what have you folks at Aiwa done!I own, oh....6 different pairs of earbuds (thrown a lot more than that away) and ya know, earbuds are earbuds. I see all these reviews about how this earbud is the greatest since sliced bread, and how this one is the best cause it reminds them of their old dog. All kinds of crazy s****. To me, earbuds are earbuds. So, why the review at all. Well....I'm old(er) and I remember buying AIWA products "back in the day".Now, before you go "oh god, here goes another old guy going off again" AIWA products back in "my day" were considered high-end and I had a few pieces of gear from them (looking at the bluetooth speaker they have out now also) and I loved them. LOVED THEM!When I saw they had released earbuds (first release in over 10 years BTW) I had to check and make sure it was from AIWA. It surely was! So, I thumped down my $30.00 and picked up a pair.I just got them and plugged them onto my iPad and I started blinking really fast like I cannot believe what I am hearing. The dual hybrid driver they have come up with I find exceptional. I can hear things with these earbuds I can't even hear with my Bose II's. I was listening to a song and I said to myself (not out loud. I'm not that old) "is that a shaker?" (like a maraca). I had never head that before in this particular song and I have heard that song at least 100 times. So, soundwise, exceptional. The base is damn near perfect. The sound separation is exceptional and the high's are crystal clear. It's so nice to hear a hi-hat sound like a freaking hi-hat!Warranty: 3 years no questions asked. It even says you can return them if "your dog eats them". WHAT!I do have a word of caution for you all. When\If you order them don't rip the packaging. If you need to return them, contact AIWA (within 3 years) and they will send you a shipping label so you can send them back for replacement. Who has that kind of warranty? Hell, in the packaging it says you're supposed to go out and break them so they can figure out normal wear and tear and make a better product next time. Honestly, I threw all that stuff away. These are not going anywhere except with me, my phone, and iPad.What a terrific product and it's SO GOOD to see AIWA back on the market. I loved their stuff back in the day and even more today. Really well done AIWA and WELCOME BACK!

Aiwi Prodigy 1 Premium versus Sennheiser cx 300 II Precision enhanced bass
I love my sennheiser cx 300 II Precision enhanced bass ear phones. I am on my third set. Yes as other reviewers have pointed out excellent sound across bass, mid- and treble ranges, but durability has been a problem. Namely, the phone plug casing cracks/splits and then this causes problems. Like others I guess, I have swallowed this durability issue to get great sounding earphones. After buying the Aiwa Exos-9 Bluetooth speaker, I had wondered whether this excellent sound quality at a great price would translate to the Aiwa’a earphones. As my current Sennheiser cx 300 II Precision enhanced bass earphones are on their last legs and I have been looking to get these again to no avail, although you can buy fake ones easily; I was faced with a dilemma last weekend on Amazon. Suddenly, there were two companies selling the Sennheiser cx 300 II Precision enhanced bass earphones. Straight away I put this into my basket. But then, I also thought about the Aiwa earphones as well, could the Aiwa earphones match the sound quality of the cx 300 II? Eventually, I couldn’t risk not having the sennheiser cx 300 II Precision earphones, so I purchased both. So, sound wise, the Aiwa earphones are not inferior to the cx300 II at all. Listening across genres, the Aiwa has the bass, the mid and treble ranges that match easily the Cx300 II. But there is a difference. I would argue that the Aiwa do sound better. How does one convey this? Well, there is simply better ‘clarity’ across the bass, mids and highs. When I say greater ‘clarity’ I don’t mean more treble...no..no. You can just hear better, the bass is still deep, but it’s clearer, there’s no distortion on the highs either. There is a greater depth and clarity to the music compared to the cx 300 II. That is a true achievement. With regards to previous reviews on Amazon US regarding the Aiwa prodigy earbuds been too small, people needing to buy alrtnatives, an update is very much needed. My Aiwa earphones are slightly different and must have included an update to the product, which Aiwa do say they try to do, based on customer feedback. So, the earbuds I got are in three sizes, a nice transparent silicon colour, plus they provide a large black foam earbuds as well. As a size comparison, I use the largest size on the cx300 II, and I am now using the largest silocon Aiwa earbuds, the fit is good, with no slipping. I haven’t needed to use the Aiwa foam earbuds, which seem thicker than the silocon earbuds they supply. The storage case for the Aiwa earphones, has been updated. This case is very similar design to the sennheisser case. So, the Aiwa Prodigy earphones are great sounding earphones at a great price. The Sennheiser cx 300 II Precision enhanced bass certainly held this position of a great sounding earphone at a great price, a sound quality that often surpassed my Somy, JVC and other brands of headphones. Now the Aiwa Prodigy not only matches the Sennheiser cx 300 II Precision enhanced bass earphones, but in addition they have better clarity and depth to the music overall. With a different phono plug casing to the Sennheiser earphones, durability should also be better. Indeed, Aiwa clearly state they will refund the price of the earphones if they break, regardless of the cause, no questions asked, over a three year period. The Aiwa earphones, also have the facility to answer telephone calls, decline them, skip to the next track, go back a track and pause the music too.Considering the Aiwa warranty, the durability issue with he cx300 II, the similar price, and most of all, a better sound overall, the Aiwa beats the Sennheiser cx 300 II Precision earphones.

Audiophile sound, not price.
All plastic constriction with no obvious build quality issues. Comes with a in-line mic with 1 button to play/pause or pickup/hang up. The plug, strain relief, and earbuds have this weird quarter of a circle shape. Feels light in the ear because of the all plastic construction. Nothing special or out of the ordinary for the price. The sound is definately out of the ordinary for the price range. Without going into a esoteric audiophile talk, the sound is organic, fun and lively. Not perfect but shines where it matters most. There will not be enough bass for bass-heads but it is there, clean and somewhat punchy. Get a good fit and seal. If you remove the ear pieces and it feels like you just popped a tiny suction cup off, you got a good seal.Word of caution, these earbuds are not forgiving to low quality audio files. They will sound hollow, thin and lifeless.Had more fun with these than my triple driver hybrids that cost more. And these are easy to drive, amp is not needed for them to sound good.Sound is subjective but at this price point you're not set back that much if you don't like them.

The best earphones I've ever had - from a producer
Best earphones I've ever heard in my life, and at 1/3 the cost of my next favourite pair, these earphones capture everything in the audio spectrum flawlessly from all the bright high-end frequencies down to the Lowest of subs (I didn't think a pair of earphones could even make those frequencies untill I tried these), all sounds fine through with amazing clarityand not only that but these earphones pack a punch, they get LOUD but don't distort at high volumes most other earphones and the still have amazong clarity when listening to music at the lowest of low volumes aswellBut it's not just all about the sound with these the anti-tangle cable is AMAZING I've never once struggled to straighten these out when getting them from my pocket or the included pouch, just whip em out and their already straight and ready to goPlus they are excellent at passive noise cancellation, they quite down your surroundings just enough for you to be comfortable but not too much that your stuck in you own head or are unable to hear someone shouting your name next to you, it's the absolute perfect BallanceI have nothing but good things to say about these and that means ALOT coming from me, I am meticulous when it comes to listening to music, Im a producer myself and I can hear alot of quality issues the normal people won't notice. These earphones deliver absolutely outstanding audio without sacrificing other qualities like noise cancellation, cable quality or comfort and with this price ITS INSANE, I'm gonna be blunt if you need new earphones BUY THESE!
