Q: Where is this knife made?

Spain. It is a knive specifically designed to slice ham on the bone. Great knife.

Q: Will it work to make thin turkey slices?

This knife does a great job at cutting paper-thin slices of cured ham like jamon serrano/iberico. I’ve never tried it on soft, fibrous meats like Turkey, but I imagine it would do well as long as you keep it sharp and know what you’re doing. Please note that this knife has a thin, flexible blade. I typically use a firmer blade for carving a turkey. I’m sure it all comes down to technique, just like it does when carving jamon.

It is a one sided edged knife. This is a very good quality piece and I am very happy with it's performance. I also use it to slice my home made gravlox and the slices are wonderfully thin.
