Or as a safety precaution, ever. Nonetheless, thanks to desertcart's friendly customer service representivatives I was able to obtain a refund. Besides the point, this was my amp of choice to replace the previously fried amp. Currently have it mounted on the floor of my truck liner, running 2 BOSS 12" DVC subwoofers at 1ohm. Like I said earlier I am still breaking my new subwoofer in so I will yet to be able to tell how well this amp functions for another few weeks. Will update when needed.

Works perfectly, amazing size, love the lights, easy installation, look clean, makes my 10 in subs sound like a 12, and an amazing build, and doesn't over heat.DO RECOMMEND

It gets hot pushing the wattage I’ll advise anybody to get the Brutus brand but this is pushing my dual 12 evl series skars. it’s worth the money if you just upgraded. Only con it gets hot inside the car when the amp heats up but it never goes into protection mode.

Update: This amp has died after 3 years of medium usage if thats what you eexpect I say go for it. But you will end up upgrading on 36(ish months). Been a hifonics customer for about 15 years, I’ve never had a problem with their amps. I had these old kicker comp vrs laying around and decided to put them in my daily. They still bang, wired in a 2 ohm setup, I can’t speak to how they would run in a 1 ohm or unique setup but again I’ve never had issues. If your low on space and HAVE to mount to the box like I unfortunately did, get a thin piece of wood wrap it in trunk liner or spray it with bed liner and get some rubber grommets to mount between the amp and the wood.(I would never do this in my Tahoe as I have plenty of room). But the amp is awesome and won’t break your bank again buying one of these won’t win you any dB contests but maybe 4 or 6 will lol.
