My master diaper bag plan worked!
So after pouring in too much money trying 3 variations of diaper bags and deciding I was happy with 0 of them, I devised an ingenious plan to use this clear backpack for our day trip needs. I know, I know... so clever, right? Even my husband gave me a skeptical look. But I had reasons: the bag is super lightweight, the load is distributed evenly on my back (which is important when already juggling coffee/ keys/ phone/ wallet/ human child), and best of all - I can easily take inventory of how many diapers and changes of clothes there are!I'm happy to report that my master plan has worked out brilliantly so far. We even took this backpack on an impromptu uphill hike on a rather warm Californian day. Even when filled with sunscreen, hats, allergy medicine, and various toys to keep human child entertained, this backpack felt light as a feather as I trudged up a giant hill. Woohoo!Bonus points for this backpack because it holds a LOT of stuff. The usual diapers/ wipes/ diaper pad/ change of clothes takes up maybe 20% of this backpack, and the rest leaves room for all the toys! I've also been able to slip a Macbook air in with inches of room to spare in every direction.I wish they made a slightly smaller version of this exact backpack, so I can send it to daycare with my daughter.

Spacious, Good Quality
I use this for an on-the-go bag. It keeps everything together that I need, and I can easily look inside of it without having to open it and root through it all just to find something. Originally, I kept this for my on-the-go bag, but recently I lent it to my mom for a hospital stay and it worked well for her. It was spacious enough for a few days worth of clothing, personal toiletries and a few other things. Definitely worth the buy. My only complaint is with the straps. The piece of the strap that goes into the catching mechanism don't have a sewn lip for the plastic to catch onto, so if you put a lot of things into the bag the straps won't be able to hold it. I've decided to extend the straps to where I like them and stitch the pieces together so it's more secure.

Lasted 15 months
I work in a correctional facility and have to use a backpack to carry my work items (I'm a counselor, so that means a bunch of paper and pens), lunch, and bottles of water. The 4 stars is because the mesh holders on the side (where I carried the water) unraveled and wore out within 4 months. After 15 months, the plastic at the top and on the corners at the bottom busted. I've been using it busted for several months now. I'm just careful where I put my pens and make sure I put it under my raincoat when it rains - to save my paperwork. I'm ordering a different backpack to replace it, so we'll see if the other one is better. On the plus side? My co-workers have had to replace their backpacks more often than I have, so this is a pretty good one!

Thick plastic, survives abuse.
This is the second time I am buying this backpack. I purchased the first one in August for my son to take to school. He is VERY hard on his backpacks, and even fabric ones rip. This one finally gave up the ghost, tearing at the zipper. It lasted FIVE months- with heavy use. What was nice to see, was that the zipper didn't break, the plastic tore away. It is pretty large, and handles all of his "stuff". The bottle holders are not the best, but it certainly isn't stopping me from ordering my second bag. Plastic is thick, and he leaves pencils and pens scattered at the bottom...they haven't poked out yet! I would recommend this bag. It doesn't get five stars, because it would have to carry his books for him to be perfect. :)

Well constructed and well designed. I hope this will be available as it is made now, for a long time.
I hope this back continues to be available. It is constructed just like a regular backpack. The bottom is not plastic, probably a ballistic type fabric .When it is set down, it does not tip over, but sits squarely on the ground or floor. The drink compartments on the side are mesh. They hold a water bottle or commercial drink bottle perfectly. There is a main compartment and two smaller compartments. One of the smaller compartments is vertically subdivided to hold pens and cards. The seams are all connected with heavy duty seam tape, not just stitching. There is also included inside a small flat bag that is not clear. I ordered two extras for spares since I like this so much. And so often an item I love is frquently discontinued.

The zippers are sturdy and have held up well
My child's high school requires students to carry a clear backpack. I purchased this same backpack at the beginning of the school year, and am purchasing again because of wear and tear on the original backpack. In regards to the original purchase: The plastic of the backpack has held up surprisingly well. There are no cracks, tears, etc in either the seams or the surface of the original bag itself. The zippers are sturdy and have held up well. The straps, however, have become frayed, with long strings of thread hanging off the strap and the padding is falling out. The mesh pouches on the outside have also ripped and have become partially separated from the bag.Despite the issues with the straps and mesh pouches, I've purchased again because my child requested it. We've purchased other clear backpacks that were much less durable and/or didn't hold all the items needed for school. If the issues with the fabric on this particular bag were addressed, I'd be able to give additional stars.

his dad bought a blue $30 one from Office Depot that felt thick and sturdy. It lasted from Jan until March 03/27
I bought another yesterday because my son's other backpack died in 2 months. He has to have see-through backpacks for school and he wanted one for A day and another for B day. To avoid confusion we got this one and a blue $10 one from Wallie world. That one lasted from Aug to Dec. When it tore up in Dec, his dad bought a blue $30 one from Office Depot that felt thick and sturdy. It lasted from Jan until March 03/27. The cheap backpack lasted longer than the $30 one. This backpack has worked great. He is in Middle school and has to carry a lot. The backpack is stuffed, but it is hanging in there, so when it came time to decided whether to get a quick backpack so he can have one Wednesday or have him wait, we decided to have him wait and ordered this one.
