**Update**This keel guard lasted a year. It just peeled right off of my boat while I was driving to the next fishing spot. It got caught in my propeller and caused some damage. I was hoping this was going to last a couple of years but unfortunately it failed. FYI I fish the Indian River Lagoon, it has no rocks or oyster beds and is pretty much all sand or muck bottom.Easy to install with some preparation. Applied it to the front keel area of my 16ft Ankona and it has been holding well for about 3 months now. It adheres really well.

I used the product on the keel area of the hill on a kayak. After cleaning the hull, applying the tape was fairly easy. I used a hand roller to help smooth out any of the bubbles. I anticipate a longer life for the kayak as a result of adding the tape to the keel.

I bought this for my jet boat and it's great. 4" wide, 5' long was perfect. Installation was easy. Prep'd the surface with acetone, installed it top-to-bottom, peeling away the backer only as needed, and it covered the entire keel plus a few inches. To help make the installation easier, I unrolled and hung it for a few days.
