The Pink Dress Paperback – February 8, 2016

Loved this book so much when I was a kid. My mom checked out from our local library and I read it over and over. I have thought of it often over the years and was delighted to see was available on Kindle. Still holds up!

I thought of this book two weeks ago. I was in Junior high and n the 60s one of the most popular girl books at that time. All my friends (70s) remember it lol! I wanted to order it for my granddaughters because I was afraid it would go out of print. Lol Thank you Amazon!!! My one friend has no kids and ordered it for herself to bring back memories from yester years!

I have been trying to find this book for several years. As an 8th grader in 1962-63 this was the library book we all got on the list to read. It was one of the first young adult books that came around with real time issues of girls in Jr high. There were books about young women going into nursing, secretarial , and teaching (the trinity of jobs thought to be proper for girls at that time) but not many about girls of that age. I know exactly how her daughter and friends felt when rushing home to find the next chapter. I read this novel several times before moving onto more adult themes . I love that there are many more books available for young adult readers now. THANK YOU for bringing thisbook out again

Haven't seen this book since I was in junior high , back in the dark ages. A thrill to have it now as my own. It was almost impossible to check it out of the school library because it was always checked out by some lucky girl before me. Honestly , I don't know how I got lucky; probably every other girl had her turn. However, as I began reading ,I realized I wasn't finding anything familiar in the book. My sister & I laughed like a couple of hyenas as we admitted this to each other. We both had an idea that we thought we remembered but , alas , hers was totally wrong , & mine remains to be seen. Nevertheless, this sweet enduring book deserves full star rating just for being the Pink Dress.

We have in our family one of the original prints. It’s been passed around so much for so many years that it started falling apart. We were beyond devastated.In recent years however we discovered a much sought after rerelease of this book and we have bought one for every budding daughter and friends daughter and friends of friends daughter. It’s a true gem and I would absolutely recommend this book. We will be an avid Pink Dress book buyer for years. Well done.

This was my favorite book in 5th grade! I have been searching for this book for years but it was out of print and I couldn't afford the collectors editions. I was so thrilled when I realized The Pink Dress would be printed again in paperback. I ordered it even before it was printed. When it finally arrived and read it in one day! It is still just as good as I remember it being over 40 years ago! Love this story!

I first read this wondeful novel in my teens,loved and read repeatedly. Then unfortunately my mother introduced me to used bookstores at which I traded my copy of the Pink Dress in for Sweet Valley High series and have regretted it since. I'm thrilled to read Sue's story again even if it's digital format.

I first read over 50 years ago. I loved the book then and still love it now. It was so nice to reconnect with the characters again. It still is my favorite book.
