Looks great on BMX classic
My husband has had a renewed interest in BMX biking as of late and has spent a small fortune restoring nostalgic classics he sought out that remind him of glory days. These pedals are perfect - lightweight and as cool as the old bikes we put them on. Though we bought the silver ones this time, there is a bright red pair that would look great on many bikes. Buying those next!

Great product
I replaced the pedals on my stationary bike with these and love them. They hold my feet firmly on the pedals. Glad I found these!

Decent pedal, but has its limits
I obtained the Tiekoun Mountain Bike Pedals, Non-Slip Platform Flat Road Cycling Bicycle Pedals to put on my delivery bike and have put about 100 miles on them in a variety of conditions over the last week. First the positives. The build quality appears to be very sturdy. Even with a pretty hard crash, these are standing up to the abuse I am putting them through (trust me, I have broken pedals in less than 10 miles of riding). The bearings are smooth with no bearing play and I really like the low profile, which reduces the chances of pedal strikes. The downfall of these pedals are the pins. They are rounded and I have a hard time gripping them even with a pair of Five Ten cycling shoes with a very sticky sole made for flat pedals. I am an aggressive rider, constantly hopping curbs/potholes/trolley tracks/etc. and railing corners. When doing stuff like this, grip is paramount. Because of this, I would not recommend these pedals for any applications where you need good grip (mountain biking, gravel riding, aggressive urban riding, bmx, etc). That said, these would be great for a commuter or a recreational hybrid pedal. As I said, the build quality seems to be better than the pedals that are in the $15-20 range and I expect these to hold up for a while. However, if you are an aggressive rider or you want something for mountain biking or gravel riding, I would spend the extra $10 and buy something like the CrankBrothers Stamp 1.

EXCELLENT PEDALS
So I got these for my brother who is a professional motorcyclist and an amateur bicyclist. He specializes in mountain biking. Not the kind of mountain biking where someone rides on trails in a hilly area, but riding across MOUNTAINS on his bicycle. He has a lot of experience and he was very interested to see how these Tiekoun Mountain Bike Pedals, Non-Slip Platform Flat Road Cycling Bicycle Pedals 9/16 Inch would work out. I was curious too because I like to ride locally in Greenville SC and we have some pretty good terrain as well.Upon arrival it was pretty obvious that these Tiekoun pedals were good quality. I feel like that you get a good price since they are not expensive name-brand pedals with a ton of advertising to pay for, but the quality is well above average and the design and materials feel very good. The sizing was standard and changing them was a breeze. The best part was how light they are and how much grip they give with the (rounded) spikes on the pedal surface. These look great and perform great at a very fair price. I would recommend them without any hesitation to anyone looking to improve their mountain bike setup. They are great quality and look and feel very good.I hope you found this review helpful. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions that I did not address here in the review and I will get back to you as quickly as possible. Thank you!

Decent flat peddle option for those looking to try out platform peddles
I've been mountain biking for over 20 years and have tried out about every type of peddle you can imagine. I've used flat peddles for many years as well.Often people want to try out flat peddles that have been using clip-less peddles for a long time, and this is a good option for that. To even try out flats you need to buy the peddles, which are generally close to one hundred bucks at a local bike shop, and then get flat peddle shoes. So these are a great price-point to give flats a shot without breaking the band.My need for these is I'm building up a gravel bike, and want to have another set of peddles for this bike. I put these on my current mountain bike and so far so good. At this price point you do sacrifice weight for sure. The other thing I've notice is the pegs that hold your feet to the peddles are not quite as grippy as my higher priced peddles.Overall though these are a great lower priced option to get into riding flats.

Great platform pedals
I installed these on a 2016 Motobecane Boris the Evil Brute Sprung. They replaced the stock, cheap platform pedals.I normally use Speedplay Frog pedals on both my mountain and road bikes but I wanted to make this fatbike a less serious, casual off-road bike. After all, it weighs nearly 40 pounds – I’m not going to be winning any XC races on it.I’m glad I made the replacement. They’re grippy: when I ride with platforms, I wear normal running shoes. These pedals grip into the shoe tread just like you’d want them to.They’re just the right size: not too big to get into issues with dragging when leaning into turns but certainly larger than the normal stock platform. It offers more support and area for your feet. They simply feel better than the pedals they replaced.Slight negative: the bearings are tight and do not allow free spinning of the pedals when they are new. Mine are still not spinning freely. I’m hoping and pretty certain that they (like any similar mechanical product) will loosen up and spin more freely after more use, but my pair has not so far. If this issue does not correct itself as I expect it will, I will update the review.
