Bought this one
Bought if for my bedroom but you cannot hear the alarm on it ....sounded week but the clock and radio are okay so put it in the spare bedroom instead of what purchased for. It is okay but if had to do it again would not buy it. Needs to have better sound and alarm system built in. The look is very cool but not good for what it claims.

Radio Fun
Nice little radio Like the 60's retro look and color choices though I passed on the pink, have blue and green. Sound is a little tinny but I think that is due to reception issues in my office building. The radio at home seems fine.

Retro and great...though digital time is a bit hard to navigate and set....radio plays and looks cool in kitchen

Brand new, doesn't work
Brand new packaging, opened it up. It does look cheap, but different, to be honest, I did find it aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, the radio would not turn on with batteries or on ac power. Sent it back and bought a sony.

Disappointing
Unfortunately I can't rate this radio/clock very high, when it arrived I tried it out and was a little disappointed. The clock and alarms worked very well, but when I tried out the radio all I got was static. I tried fiddling with the tuning/volume controls but nothing improved. I even tried the music option and I couldn't seem to get anything to come through except more static. In the end I just gave it away since I couldn't return it and I didn't feel confident in my skill to take it apart and fix it.

Am I the lucky one?
First impressions:Received this Realtone 212Q a couple of days ago and paid on Prime less than $ 14.00, including 2 days shipment.Packing was 5 starsAC adapter included 5 starsDesign 5 stars, beautiful retro, easy to set upManual goodReception FM very good, AM goodSound very good for its sizeReception with AC adapter pluged in same as without, no electric noiseClock & timer all workingValue for money 5 starsSince new, I can't comment on reliabilty over time, but hope it will last longer than other reviewers units.Only issue: Station selection wheel to easy, while volume wheel much more stiff, should be the other way around.I believe all other reviewers, but have no choice at this point to rate the radio with 5stars.

A Case of Style Over Substance
I bought this because I loved the retro styling and the clock radio I owned was over 20 years old and I felt it was time for a new one. I should have kept my old one. Although nice looking this radio has a poor antenna and reception and poor sound quality. You can't set the unit to wake you to the radio (the whole reason I wanted a clock radio) and it has an obnoxious beeping alarm that gradually fades in over time. I did not try the auxiliary jack, but as this unit is mono and not stereo I don't think it's particularly desirable for iPod usage either and it offers no tone controls either. It's also poor as a radio for portability offering no handle to transport it easily. It has a large external power adapter, but can run off 4 AA batteries during a power outage if desired. If you're more concerned about style over functionality and quality then this unit may be for you, but otherwise you'd be better off with a nice Sony clock radio. For about the same price you can get a Sony Dream Machine ICF-C414 clock radio with crystal clear sound and great reception, other more expensive models offer auxiliary inputs.
