Perfect harness to bypass dead amp in 2005 Grand Cherokee
Years ago i had crutchfield sell me a Kenwood radio and the perfect harness to keep it running through the Boston Acoustics amp in my 2005 Grand Cherokee.Recently all i had running were the front tweeters. (Checked all audio related fuses which were good)Got this harness and have more control over sound than before, and all speakers are back running (did buy a bass blocker from crutchfield to tie the tweeters in too)I'd be tempted to say that i should probably have just bypassed the amp when I first got the Kenwood BT-312U "radio" (usually it's phone via BT that's running, never radio)Since i had the old harness power the radio through ACC perfectly i didn't run power with the included bits from this kit and use this just to run audio to the speakers, everything working flawless now. So if you had the amp working with the old kit, yes, keep power, connect speakers and through bass blocking caps the tweeters and get your old crumbly Grand Cheroke playing Volkor X again.

Works great!
I recently installed this in my 06 Charger and it works awesomely. My car originally came with the 6 speaker Boston Acoustics package so after I replaced all the speakers it wasn't working as I wanted it to. The lower door speakers are setup in the factory amp to output lower frequencies while the front dash speakers are for the higher frequencies. To add to the complications of the setup, I replaced the factory radio with a Pioneer AVH-2550NEX and have it hooked up using a Maestro RR and the HRN-RR-CH2. I kept that installed as normal but just disconnected the speaker wires fron the HRN-RR-CH2 harness and connected them straight to the Metra 70-6504 harness. I followed the wiring diagram that Crutchfield provides on their website for the Metra harness and it said to connect the front speaker wires that come from the radio harness to both the front door and front dash speakers. After I got it all setup I did a factory reset on my radio and set it to use the standard instead of network (I believe it's what tells the radio there is a factory amp) and it works perfectly. The harness has a lot of length due to it being a universal kit (some cars have the amp in the rear area) so I cut a few feet off of it before I spliced and installed it. The gray plug that has the Black and Yellow wires was not used as well as the red power wire.

Works Great - 2007 Jeep Commander Overland
Although I was nervous to go off of Amazon's 'compatibility' list, I ordered it in a panic. I taped it in a harness tape, and fed it from my amp to my radio. Crutchfield has a diagram for this particular harness, speakers match up as normal except for the tweeters (make sure you get a bass reducer, about $10) This was easy to install, high quality, and exactly as described. After weeks of fighting with my radio/amp this bypass has fixed all my issues. I attatched Crutchfields manual on this harness in hopes to make your install less stressful than mine was.
