Works as designed my cat approves
Fit and function as described no problem with installation of my microphone Samson co1U no issues with previous reviews the metal corners are welded no instruction so I can only guess as to the purpose of the 4 o rings no issue with mounting of microphone very sturdy this a moderately heavy microphone mount nuts fit and I used an oring to help keep the mounting nut from coming loose extra tension bands but no expo how to install as no instructions assuming it’s easy at time of replacement to figure out overall excellent My cat approves

Well made, no wobbly black bands. Variable size screw washers made install quick. !
Built solid - much better than the other crappy shock mount I paid too much for at Guitar Center in San Jose , CA! I especially liked the ability to pick from 4 screw adaptors. The rubber gasket rings were useful, too! With the old shock mount, I was always fighting with keeping the darn black rubber bands hooked on to the mic. Now...watch for me soon on, talking on videos on YT using this brand new "357 Magnum" artillery shock mount!!

Almost perfect for ST51
I was having a hard time finding a decent shock mount for my new Sterling Audio ST51 (awesome mic, by the way) - the only model I was finding was the version directly from Sterling Audio and it was nearly double the price of this one at $40. I took the chance on this one and I received it today. I'm happy to report that one of the adapters fit the ST51 - albeit, a little rough on the threading. The only problem I hit was that the adapter was a little too deep for the mic, so even with the mic fully seated on the adapter, it still bounced around... rendering the shock mount effectively useless. This mount comes with a few extra felt pads that go on the adapter where it meets the bottom of the mic, so I simply stacked them all up to create a padded buffer between the mount and the microphone to close that gap. Worked great, no wobble. So, I'll give it 4 stars because it comes with several adapters to fit many mics, several felt pads, an extra bungee for when this one wears out, and overall feels super solid and heavy. The reason for knocking off a star is the rough threading (I think it's due to paint on the threads) on the adapters and a lack of any documentation on how to get those adapters into the mount. It doesn't take long to figure it out, but it did require a little bit of time and trial and error. I'll update if I find anything bad - but day one, all is well after that minor adjustment to fit my mic. At the end of the day, this mount saved me $20!

A great alternative to pricey brand name shock mounts.
This is an all-metal construction and looks as good as shock mounts 4 times the price. I use it with my Warm Audio condenser mic and it looks pro and feels completely solid on my boom arm. The color is good and it securely attaches to my microphone. It also comes with a number of different fittings. Be sure to look at the compatibility list before you buy, it doesn't fit all microphones. Highly recommended.

it IS compatible with rode nt-usb; you'll have to get a new pop filter / wind screen, though.
are you like me and wondered why your rode nt-usb was drooping, touched your mic, and the ring mount suddenly snapped? :-) since no one else seemingly answered here, i thought i would save some trouble. i cannot speak for quality right this moment. out of the box, it seems sturdy. it comes with replacement bands and it comes with tons of adapters. mine didn't have instructions, but it's pretty straightforward. definitely worth the price considering it's hard to find any other replacement. i'll come back if anything bad happens. 🫡

Absolute Garbage. Does not hold microphone in the shock mount.
I have scotch tape in my 4 year olds arts and crafts drawer that would do a better job of holding the thousand dollar microphone that I put in this shock mount. not only would the scotch tape hold it better in place, it is far more trustworthy and durable over a period of more than a few hours. How in the world are you supposed to tip the microphone vertically with fittings that do not either screw into the shock mount or somehow attach to the shock mount? The fitting where you screw the microphone into slides in and out of the shock mount with less than a pound of force. Did this company think that I was using an anti-gravity microphone? That has been placed under a spell of weightlessness by some old-coot wizard in blue, star covered drabs? I have mulled this over and over in my mind and for the life of me I cannot think how in the heck this company would release this to the public as a viable option for securing microphones that weigh more than a hefty wet fart. Dispicable! Thank god for amazons amazing return policy that allows me to get a refund on such a useless product.

Also works on Groove Tubes 5sm — Fits many Neumanns incl. U87 but not all (TLM 193 etc)
I've been looking for a secure shock mount for my 20+ year old Groove Tubes 5sm microphones. This doesn't fit like the original but that's ok. The short 22mm adapter works and tightens right up. It's a tight fit but can get the mic cable on and off. In the pictures, that's the black collar. If you have the original screw collar as I do (silver in the picture), it's a little easier and there's more room for the cable end but, if that's lost, don't sweat it. One of the four adapter rings gets it done. Well built, not the heaviest out there but sturdy enough for most mics that it fits but . The long 25mm collar fits Neumann U67/87 and many clones including Slate ML-1 and United UT Twin87 but I wouldn't use this on my ML-1 Vintage, a much heavier microphone, even though it does fit. The long 22mm collar fits my MXL 990 and many similar mics. The short 22mm collar fits my Groove Tubes 5sm. There is also a 20mm collar but I don't know what those fit. It would be nice if there was also a short 25mm collar for the Neumann TLM 102, 103, 193 and others — but there isn't. Oh well. This includes an extra pair of bands and a 3/8 to 5/8 stand adapter. Great bang for the buck and I couldn't be happier — especially at this price. The bands are not as heavy as some others but the mics I’m using don’t have a problem with it. I'll be buying more of these.

Good product, poor package
Decent quality for the price. Works as expected, great diversity of adapters for many mic options; at least 2 of my mics will fit (Rode NT1-a and MXL 990). The packaging was extremely sub-par in 3 areas. 1. Package had no shock absorbing material at all; most everything was loose in the mostly empty box with only some thin plastic over the adapters. 2. The box was severely dented (see photos) and at least one adapter was loose in the Amazon bag. 3. There was no packing slip or component list, so I just had to experiment with which adapters went with my mics. There were also a few additional mini rubber grommets that I don’t know what to do with. There are 2 extra stretch bands for the shock mount, which I did expect. So, despite the condition of the package, all parts were present, plus a few extra, and everything works as expected.

Buen soporte, buenos materiales.

My favourite Shock Mount
The best shock-mount I've ever used (and that includes Rycote, not to diss). It is super sturdy, can use SO many mics with this, able to take heavier mics (and subjectively it just looks amazing). If you can only get one shockmount, while others will do the job, this is the go-to for me. I can't wait to buy more of these.

Good
It will work with Samson G Track Pro. Warning however: the mount interferes with the buttons (they are usable if you reach in) and with the ports in the back (not usable). Samson makes a mount for the G Track but it doesn’t seem to be available in Canuckistan.
