OneTouch Verio Control Solution, High.13 fl oz

It's a control solution for meter / strip rough validation within the range of error for the strips and meter. (Meaning it's not going to deliver an exact number that is constantly the same.) Level 4 solution control tests at a higher level than level 3. I s/w OneTouch and their feedback was level 4 was geared more toward providers vs. level 3 being sufficient for all of us but that either was fine. Level 4 was available faster hence,...I bought it.I use two different Verio reflect meters - the first guidance you see for control testing with that SPECIFIC Verio meter is either marked as not for that meter or in a couple of cases named it but the menu instructions were for the other Verio device. Here's how to access control testing on the Verio Reflect: 0) Before you start read the instructions from OneTouch on when to execute control tests and understand the range the solution you are using should produce and exceptions when you need to run a control test other than changing vials of strips. Since this is a medical advice I'm going to refer that one to them. The images should be in order of menu navigation on the Reflect version.1) Turn the meter on without a strip (Press OK until it lights up),2) navigate down to settings,3) navigate down to control test,4) the meter will display insert strip (do so),5) place a drop of control on the strip where you'd normally put blood. 6) Read the control solution package for the standard range and validate your result is within range.NOTE-This solution is blue and if you spill it on your fingers it will stain your skin. (about the same as laundry bluing would)
