This album is the shizzzzzzz-nitty. You could make an album out of BDK's entire collection and still accurately call it "Greatest Hits." Sheet, Big Daddy Kane dropped Greatest Hits every day when he was in the shower by himself -- those can never be released on account of national security. An album like that would blow your damn mind. Literally. Your mind would explode inside your skull, but in a thoughtful way, so as to get bits of skull on people nearby.

One of the originators of hip-hop, Big Daddy Kane, was larger than life in his prime in the late 80's/early 90's. With his smooth, but street cred flow and rapid fire delivery at times he helped revolutionize the way of rhymin and gettin the ladies at the same time. With 17 songs, you get some of his best work, and a few that could have been left off of here. I don't get why 2 or 3 of his albums don't have any songs on here but none the less it's a tight CD. Of the 17 songs, 3 are classics, 2 are near classics, 1 I skip over and 3 are ok, the rest are good. Guests are only on 2 songs, which was the way it was done back then, not having 2 dozen others on your albums. The production is tight for the time of it's release and done by some of the better producers around. Marley Marl does 8 songs, Big Daddy Kane does 6, Easy Mo Bee, Teddy Riley, and Prince Paul all do 1. I have always been a huge fan of Kane since 1988 when he dropped his first album. He has always been my favorite rapper. His lyrical content, flow, style is top notch, and I am thrilled to own this CD! Its so great having all his hits on one Cd.I listened to it as soon as I got it, and it was GREAT! This took me back to my youthful days 1989- and on....... GREAT BUY!!

This CD is a great summary of all of one of the best emcees of all-time hits. Kane is a Rap God and buying this CD will reacquaint you of his genius or introduce some of the young bucks to his incredible music.

OLD schoolz you betcha your ass this is a founding FATHER of RAP, while living in NYC playing basket-ball in the city he was a must have in your walkman, ha backintheday, NOW for the ipod while doing work or working out.

...finde ich immer schwierig.Ob es ein super Album ist, oder man es überhaupt nicht mag - subjektiver geht's doch gar nicht.Ich finde die meisten Tracks super, einige wenige nicht so...wem's hilft...
