Body Champ IT8070 Inversion Therapy Table
I purchased this product in hopes that it will releive some back soreness that I have. I believe it works good on releiving my sore back. I say believe, because I am not very disciplined at using it everyday. I will use it twice a day for a few days and then I forget to use it before I take my shoes off, so I just skip it for that day. I don't notice that my back is not bothering me as much but then I went on vacation for a week and by the time I came back my back was real sore. I then used it for several days, started to forget to use it and went on another week vacation. Again, by the end of the week my back was very sore (driving 600 miles each way probably helped in the pain department). This product is very well built and appears to be of top quality. I can see where other reviewers had missing bolts in their package. Body Champ appears to try to help in the assembly by inserting some of the bolts in their respective locations. Unfortunatly these bolts are not tightened (so you can easily remove them to add components) this allows them to vibrate loose in shipping and thus running the chance of falling out and getting lost. The assembly directions are not of the best of help but are clear enough that most people should have no problems assembling this. People with good mechanical skills will fly through it, but even for those who are not mechanically inclined with a little more studying and double checking they will accomplish it. This table does not provide a wrench (but from other table reviews that provide wrenches it is not missing anything). A socket set will help expidite the process but a couple of adjustable wrenches will work just fine. This table has two different adjustment locations for use: the first is to adjust the foot rest to your approximate height. The second spot adjusts the center of gravity for the table. I assembled the table using the first center of gravity hole and put the foot rest to my height. The table did not invert and come back as it should so I played with the height adjustment until I found what seemed to work the best. I then moved the table to the second center of gravity hole and checked the operation at several height locations. I liked the way the table performed better this time than the first time. I made notes on the setting that I liked and then moved the table to the third (out of four) center of gravity holes. I quickly realized that this is the worst setting (for me) so far and I went back to the second hole.I read a lot of reviews on tables before deciding on this one. I would bet that most reviews that complain about a tables ability to invert and return have not fully tried all of the adjustment combinations available. If the other tables do not have two adjustment locations then I would have to say that makes this table that much better. I also had read a review on another table that I was going to purchase that said it did not work in his basement with a seven foot ceiling. That table did not collapse up when not in use and I was afraid if it did not fit in my basement I would not be able to get it back up without total dissambly. I figured being this one collapsed when not needed I could get it back up the stairs if it did not fit. I have 6'9" ceilings in my basement and this table works fine. I am 5'9" and have the table set at the 5'9" height and second center of gravity hole. At these setting the table works perfect for me and I still have 5" of clearance when fully inverted.

Very good choice for a first inversion table.
I received my Body Champ table today, so I'm writing the review after the first use: no physical improvement or personal feelings of inversion therapy are involved in this review ONLY the product! The packaging was fairly sturdy, everything was wrapped separately, no nicks, dings, cuts scratches, ect- overall I was impressed with the package design and the effort to ensure no damage was done to the product. (5/5)Assembling the table was NOT difficult- the instructions make things seem more complicated than they are- there were only a handful of bolts, washers, nuts, ect- but all of them were pre-assembled (the bolt had the correct washers and nut already threaded onto it before packaging). There was also a tool included in the package to tighten everything down with (though it is better to use a socket set or wrenches to ensure everything is tight and sturdy. It took me about 45 minutes, double checking everything as I went, to put the table together- and i have to say it IS pretty solid. I am a 245lb man and it neither pops or rattles while i use it. [5/5]The table actually looks pretty nice. The backboard is constructed better than i thought it would be- nice cushioning and color choices (gray and red). The overall look of the table is not cheap (my parents have a different table at home that simply looks untrustworthy), but this one simply looks like a good piece of gym equipment). [5/5]There are multiple, and pretty simple, settings. The height can easily be adjusted at any time, the ankle pads are easily adjustable, as well as the incline (by use of a safety rod and strap) you wish to go on the table. There are several safety precautions that keep the whole thing feeling fairly safe while not hampering it's ability to be taken apart. Though the "center of gravity" is chosen by 3 different positions using the rails on either side of the back-pad. Changing these settings requires the user to unscrew a bolt, loosen two other bolts, open a safety clamp on both sides, remove the back piece completely from the machine, unscrew two smaller bolts on the rails themselves, and reassemble that section of the machine. The trade-off is that you should only have to do this once MAYBE twice to find your sweet spot- and all the extra bolts and precautions are what makes the machine feel so sturdy- so I'm not really complaining. [4.5/5]Finally- Storage. This table does NOT "collapse" very far at all. Fully open as if someone was using it- it takes up maybe two feet more floor space than when it is fully folded and compressed as far as it will go. It will not fit under 99% of the beds out there- and honestly wont fit in many closets: so if you do not have room to keep it against a wall or in a corner- you may want to try a slimmer model or different product all together. Measuring it folded and propped against a wall it stands 28 inches wide, 26.5 inches out from the wall, and nearly 70 inches tall. I would say it takes up as much room as a large bookshelf. Users CAN disassemble parts of the machine to store separately to DRASTICALLY reduce these numbers- but as i stated before- disassembling is a bit of a task- i wouldnt personally recommend it if you plan to use the table every day. [3/5]I hope you found this review useful- I really wanted to buy an inversion table i would not regret purchasing and (through first impressions and general inspection)I am pretty happy. As long as you've got the extra space or are not worried about taking apart a few pieces after every use- this table... may turn your life upside down. (da-doom-kish)Overall rating - [4.2/5]
