Great Pedometer! Easy to use and practical to wear everyday!
I'm very pleased with this pedometer. It's rugged, easy to read while still on your belt, and the memory and auto-reset feature at midnight are great. It's a fairly unobtrusive black oval box that clips to my belt, so I don't mind wearing anywhere I go. The controls and display are inside, and the belt clip is metal, so it can take a lot of abuse without being damaged or falling off. The 24hr clock display is nice if you don't wear a watch all the time, and the programmable stride length gives you a pretty accurate estimate of your distance. If you want a pedometer to wear on your belt, I highly recommend this one. If you want one for your pocket or purse, then I'd recommend the Omron HJ-303 GoSmart Tri-Axis Pocket Pedometer (which can be worn on the belt as well).

Works just as great as a cheap POS, but for 10X the price!
I am displeased.I very deliberately chose this pedometer because it had great reviews and because I was tired of buying cheap pedometers, only to find them highly inaccurate. So I did a lot of research to find the best possible choice, sucked it up and paid the $40 for one I thought would work.I set it and have tried numerous times to set the stride length properly so that it would provide me with the most accurate account of my steps. When I thought I had it set right, I clipped it to the front/middle of my bra, as recommended, and tried 5 steps on the treadmill. It showed 6. Good enough. I got back on and started walking and walking. I walked for 5 or 10 minutes and got back off to take a phone call. I checked the pedometer. It showed...6! WTF?! It didn't count a single step during those 5-10 minutes?! I don't get it!I kept trying different stride lengths with no better luck.I put it in my pocket and walked for 20 steps and checked it. It said 35. I cleared it, I lowered the stride length by a quarter and walked another 20 steps. It showed 35. I cleared it, raised it by a half (now a quarter more than I started with) and walked another 20 steps. It showed 35! So it makes no difference what my stride length is?I have tried to troubleshoot, tried to tweak it, put it in different spots, change stride lengths. I don't know what else I could do differently to make this expensive piece of garbage do the ONE THING it was made for!I am mad. I don't have a job or a lot of money. I really stretched to buy this in the first place. I didn't try it out in time to return it, so now I'm SOL.I do not recommend this item.

Have to Make Many Adjustments
I bought this after reading several positive reviews. The pedometer seems to be working OK after spending more time than I thought necessary to get accurate readings. The modes are helpful and it resets daily and keeps a good history of steps and distance. I would not buy this again, not because it doesn't work after finally getting it setup correctly, but it doesn't work any better than the pedometer I got free for my health insurance company.

Only works on hip - sometimes.
This pedometer stopped working after three days. Battery went dead and was corroded. Works with new battery but display is dim even after cleaning battery contacts. But I would not buy this pedometer again, even if battery hadn't been corroded. It is too sensitive to placement. It seems to only work consistently when worn on hip and it must be exactly horizontal. If it is canted even a little, it does not count steps accurately. It won't work in pockets or clipped to a shirt. It does add steps when you open it or close it or attach it to your belt. My wife used it less than a week and gave up. Her friend loves her Fit Bit that she wears on her wrist, so she will probably buy that.

Accurate and Sturdy
I'm not using all the capabilities on it but I like it. It's very accurate and sturdy. I would it to my friends.

Great pedometer
I used one of these prior to buying my own during a walking study at the University of Utah. The researcher doing the study said she paid about $50 for theirs. Awesome deal for $28. I love the metal clip, very secure. I read other reviews talking about slight inaccuracies, but I really don't care, I mostly want to count and compare steps daily in an effort to increase my daily activity. I guess if you are a die-hard fitness nut that needs to count only steps with a very high degree of accuracy, buy something that cost a lot more. For the average user wanting to increase their daily walking activity, it is very durable, clips tight to your belt and works great. I've had it for 3 months, wore it every day and have had no problems.

Very nice pedometer
I checked out a lot of different pedometers and read their reviews. I particularly wanted one with a cover to prevent buttons from accidentally getting pushed. I ended up purchasing the Fit Solutions CW-701 Yamax Digiwalker Pedometer and am very happy with it. It has many features that I like. It resets to zero at the beginning of each day so you don't have to worry about resetting it. It remembers the total steps, miles, time, and calories for 7 days plus the total for the current week and the past week. It also displays the current time. I also bought a safety leash just in case it slips off my waistband (definitely worth purchasing) though with the metal clip, this happens infrequently. I highly recommend this pedometer.

Reliable and seems accurate
I'm on my third of these (the prior two had unfortunate accidents no fault of the device just its clumsy owner). I have tried a lot of pedometers and for me these seem by far the most reliable and most accurate. I checked my steps against a GPS on a walk and it gets it very close to bang on. I will keep buying from Yamax after I undoubtedly destroy this one at some point!

Bulky
I have had a SW 701 digiwalker for over a year and the clasp broke so I needed a new one. I decided on the CW 701 because of the added features but didn't realize the size would be so much bigger. I think Didiwalker is the most accurate pedometer I have had but the bulk of the CW 701 is the reason I didn't give it a five star rating. I love having a safety strap but the fastener on this new one isn't as comfortable as the old one. The new one is a spring clasp and sticks out on your pants. My other one had a lever type clasp which I like much better.

Not very helpful nor useful.
This digiwalker did NOT come with a stick that is needed to reset the pedometer. Not very helpful nor useful.
