Mario Camacho Onions Cocktail, 4.2- Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)

I'm familiar with Mario Camacho olives, but hadn't tried their cocktail onions until I bought these. These are very small jars, which I didn't notice until they arrived, but they are very good quality. They're crispy and crunchy and have just the right amount of vinegar and salt in the brine. The onions themselves are small, like what you'd put in a martini, not the bigger ones you sometimes see in salad bars.If it hadn't been for Amazon's free Supersaver shipping I probably wouldn't have purchased these, but 12 little jars will last us a long time. And they are shelf stable so we don't have to rush to eat them before they expire.

These are excellent onions. They are nice and crunchy. I like to pour off the brine and add the onions to the juice in a jar of Baby Kosher Dill Pickles. I plan to try adding to the juice from a jar of Stuffed Green Olives. If I liked the brine that they were shipped in I would have given them a five star rating.Update: I added to the juice from a jar of Stuffed Green Olives and they were great.

Although I haven't tasted them myself, my weird boyfriend and his weird brothers love to eat these straight from the jar... and then drink the brine after. Ew. But they make my boyfriend happy, even if I won't kiss him for twelve hours after. :-)

Well I give it 4 stars because I have nothing to compare to. The shipping was in 3 days. I use them for my martinis. They have a nice taste to them. Small. Might last a few months. I would order them again.

My husband likes these onions so much that I got him a case for Christmas the year before and he asked for another case this year.

The Mario Onions use to be salty and sour. Now my husband who is a saltaholic says the most recent order is only sour. He puts about a tablespoon of salt in a freshly opened 3oz bottle and gives the salt time to marinate the onions. He says they'll then pass to his liking.

Don't bother.

Passable. Not the greatest, but are acceptable in a pinch.
