I'm getting back into baking, after a decades long hiatus. The yeast that my wife relies on kinda did the job, but nothing like this instant dry yeast. My bread and cinnamon rolls took on new life, using this yeast. Bread rises in little more than half the time, and is more airy. I compared several competing brands and forms of yeast before deciding on this particular listing, and I think this is the best bang for the buck. Oh, ignore the Amazon Vine tag beside my name. My baking supplies and ingredients are all cash purchases, going into my new tasty pastime. Five stars from me!

I just opened this today and made the best loaf of buttermilk bread I’ve ever tasted in my bread machine using this yeast. The yeast I had been using was making my bread taste weird, no matter what recipe I tried. I was ready to give up trying to use my bread machine because I thought something was wrong with it. I probably had a jar of weird tasting yeast instead. This yeast arrived intact in a vacuum pack type foil bag. It was soft immediately as soon as the bag was opened, but it felt like a brick prior to being opened. It didn’t leave any weird odors or flavors in the bread I made. The loaf was delicious. I ate a large piece for lunch and cut another shortly after that because it was so good. The texture was perfect and the dough rose perfectly as well. It has a good expiration date so it will last. I used binder clips to close the bag after cutting it open and then I put it inside a plastic storage container in the fridge. I might transfer it to a glass container later, but it’s well sealed for now. I’m happy to have discovered this brand of yeast. And it’s a relief to know that my bread machine works just fine. I just needed better yeast and now I found some. Thank you, Rufus, for bringing this product up during my search.

UPDATED: customer service reached out to me and we have resolved the issue. I tested the original pack that wasn’t punctured and it is great, super active and no complaints. I bought the two pack and one arrived with the vacuum seal compromised and a pinhole in it. This is a non-refundable item so I can only use half of what I paid for. Originally planned to split this with my mom.

No complaints, using it to make homemade bread. Going to get way more value for my money with this than buying individual packets!

As a person who bakes all their bread, pizza dough, buns, and rolls from scratch on a weekly basis I can not recommend this yeast enough. I have bought it several times now and will continue to as long as it is available. The texture is very fine allowing me to skip the first proof in my breads, which saves over an hour! The rise is phenomenal and gives a nice yeasty taste to all my dough. For the quality and amount of yeast this is a great price point. I open one bag at a time and store it in a glass jar in the freezer. I've never had a problem with expiration dates or dead yeast. I have 10 people to feed so I bake A LOT! It's nice to find a product that is as affordable and dependable as the One in a Mill brand.

It's good quality yeast. It has worked well in many baking items and I have no complaints.

I am an avid bread baker, so high quality yeast is a MUST. Instant yeast is the best bc it doesn’t require any activating. I purchased the 17oz bag back in 2024, and it’s just now getting time to purchase another bag. I kept it in the fridge between uses, and have never had a problem with the yeast being active and bubbly in my recipes. Highly recommend.
