Q: Is this arris surfboard svg2482ac sold by amazon carried the intel logo on the modem as the picture shown?

this modem has the flawed Intel Puma 6 chipset which causes problems with streaming video and gaming. Arris knew of this problem as far back as 2015 yet they still released this piece of junk new in 2017. Avoid at all costs if you plan to use this for gaming or video streaming, it is not reliable.

Q: Does this device still broadcast the the hidden and/or unhidden "public xfinity wifi" ssid?

The xfinity wifi does not appear anymore since I switched to this modem. I also disabled the modems Wi-Fi in favor of a better Wi-Fi router.

Q: How come the price is almost $20 higher when I put this item in my cart? Price jumped to $189

Price changes every time. Many times they only have a couple and when they are sold it jumps to the next seller. It's happened to me many times.
