I've been using the all in one soaps for men for a while now. I've tried several brands in search of the perfect one. This bar smells great and doesn't leave any residue but doesn't leather up at all. It leaves me feeling unclean after my shower. There are dozens of other brands here on Amazon, like Bossman, that are better for the same price.

Too Small
Although it smells really good, this bar is too small - almost travel size. It lasted only about 3 weeks. It doesn't lather well either, despite me putting it in a soap sack.

Incredible
This product is absolutely fantastic. I've never used bar hair soap before and the first time I've ever seen one was the one my girlfriend had brought over from Finland, but I never used hers on myself, so here I am now trying one for the first time by Mane Man, an American made hair and body soap bar. I live in South Florida, possibly one of the worst place in place's in the world for hair because of our salty grimy air, so it is always a compromise when choosing shampoo and conditioner. If I want hydrated hair, that means going more oily, if I want more volume, that means adding more weight, if I want more strength, that means losing softness, and then one step into the summer air can make my clean hair look as though it hasn't been washed in weeks. Then my scalp will sometimes get dry and flaky. All of those problems have now come to an end as the Mane Man bar is the perfect point of balance for all hair characteristics. It cleaned my hair perfectly, left it feeling soft, smooth, strong, with volume, with weight reduction, with no oily residue but enough oils to keep it hydrated, with hair protection, and with great color. My scalp is perfectly fine, better than fine, and no split ends. This is about the most perfect hair product I have ever used and it smells great too. It is not only shampoo and conditioner in one, but body wash too, all in one bar, so that means you can reduce the bulk around your shower. My skin felt so good after using this too. It's a bar but it does not leave a layer of dry reptile skin over your body like some bar soaps do. I already own a scrub for body wash though so I used that. My skin after the shower felt very clean and refreshed. My skin tingled after the shower like it could breath fresh air, similar to drinking a minty coffee or mint tea on a cool autumn day, my skin felt that good. I can't remember a time where my skin itself felt good and happy like this. It's refreshing, moisturizing, and cleans well. The scent isn't that strong but it still smells very good. The smell of the forest is one of my favorite smells and this scent is Pine Woods, with actual pine and fir in the ingredients, it's incredible. The bar itself is white and green in a swirl pattern that looks exactly like marble. One of the main ingredients is coconut oil. It is all natural and organic.Because of the natural ingredients and compact size, this is also perfect to bring with you for camping and hiking. If you have to bathe in the wild, you aren't putting any compromising chemicals into the water, and you don't have to carry around extra bulk or weight since it has no water in it and is a 3-in-1 bath soap. So the natural ingredients can be beneficial to more than just your hair and body, but also help by not harming the nature around you. Finally, the price is only $7. I would have to spend over $30 on liquids that match up to this level of performance, and much of that cost goes towards the liquid aspect itself and weight shipping plus shelf handling. This product gets 5 platinum stars by me. I'm switching over to Mane Man.

Earthy, woody pine fragrance; a bit on the small side!
My husband typically prefers body wash but he wanted to try this soap as he absolutely loves the scent of pine! The fragrance did not disappoint right out the package. It had an authentic pine scent, quite strong and not artificial smelling. The fragrance didn't linger long on his skin after rinsing was a bit disappointing. He really wanted that earthy, pine scent to stay on his skin, at least for a little while. The lather is a bit on the thin side. He did not think it was great as a shampoo bar. (and yes, he has VERY short hair) It just didn't lather enough for that and he said it was weird trying to rub a bar of soap on his head. He tried it once and his hair just didn't feel that clean after rinsing. It was still a bit oily and he doesn't have oily hair! So, he will only be using it as a body soap. For that purpose, it was much better. Again, there isn't a ton of lather but it does clean your skin well without stripping it. No unwanted, slimy residue was left behind after rinsing. The size of the bar was definitely too small for his liking. He would be much more interested in buying it again if the bar size was larger. (or, at the very least, if it could be purchased in a multi-pack for a value price) I know organic/natural products are more expensive than your typical mass market brands and we are willing to pay for high quality products! It's worth trying if you enjoy the pine scent as much as my husband does!

Who knew a bar soap would outdo liquid soap?!?
I am always on the look for new bathing and grooming products, especially those that can simplify my efforts and save me time. I grew up in a large family and bar soap was the commonplace for all things shower and hygiene related: shower- shampoo, body cleaning, and face wash. Over the last 20 years, it seems like liquid body washes have become mainstream, and I certainly embraced the trends. I have used nearly all major brands of body wash and shampoo/conditioner, and I have often felt that I could be using more sustainable and natural products. I have just used one bar in the past few years, one from Duke’s, and it was great smelling and of high quality. My skin is or has become too sensitive, though, and the bar soap just dries my skin out. Bar soap lasts much longer than liquid soap, though, and can save you quite a bit of money. The Man Man Shampoo, Shower and Shave Bar caught my attention, and previous reviews left me intrigued. I had my reservations since it was a hard, bar soap, but I thought it was worth the try. First, I was happy to see that the soap is made in the USA. The box has a New Zealand address, so from what I can see, it looks like this New Zealand based company makes USA domestic goods. Second, I was pleased to see that the ingredients did not contain lauryl sulfate. I wasn’t sure how effective the soap would be at creating a foamy lather, but it actually exceeded my expectations, and allegedly creates ‘a more effective cleaner end result’, as stated by the company on the box. Palm oil is a main component of the soap, which I would typically avoid in a cooking scenario. But, I’m cleaning not cooking, so no reservations! The Woodspice is a masculine scent, that smells great but does not linger. The natural oils condition, clean and provide a pleasant smell that I like, and that my wife enjoys, as well.I have been using the Mane Man bar soap for a little more than a week long, and my initial use was not as I had hoped. I was pleased by the thick, foamy lather, despite being lauryl sulfate free, but for the first two or three days, my hands felt rough and dried out, and my hair felt coarse and dry. Based upon how my hair felt, meaning both my head hair and my beard, I did not want to use it on my body, fearing that my skin would be left dried out and itchy. After about day three or four of using the bar wash, my hair felt much better, and it also looked and felt much softer. So I think it just required some re-wiring, since it has been exposed to just liquid shampoo and conditioner for the past 20-25 years. I am very happy with it now, though, and use it daily on my beard and head. My body/skin still hasn’t grown accustomed to it, though, so I will continue to use my other liquid body wash. I imagine my body would eventually adapt to the change, but for now, I won't use it for my body, and I won't use it for shaving. That’s my opinion, though, and it may suit you better than it has me. I am super pleased with this shower and shampoo bar, and see this remaining a new staple in my daily shower routine. Go for it, and get yours today!
