Don't know if they are as tough as they claim but so far.... They don't slip after being tied, there is no visible sign of wear after some months of heavy use. So far have performed as claimed and would definitely recommend.

This review is against the 2nd set of ironlaces I ordered.The 1st set went onto my work boots. Definitely a high quality, well made lace.I liked them so much, I ordered this set for my home workshop boots.At 54", these are the shortest ones you can get.They work fine, I don't have to wrap the excess lace AROUND the ankle of the boot anymore.And they stay tied. ALL. DAY. LONG.i firmly believe that this material, scaled up, could very well be used in vehicle recovery, and possibly even in safety restraint harnesses and the like.

They do fray and wear and break but generally last a few months longer than the cheap store bought laces. Worn by 10year old doing kids sport. Would give 5 stars if they were indestructible. Overall ok.

Longest lasting laces I’ve ever had for work boots. Only brand I buy!
