The Candida Cure Cookbook: Delicious Recipes to Reset Your Health and Restore Your Vitality Review: Beautiful Images, Inspiring Dishes - This book has it all! - When I was diagnosed with Candida (digestive), I was shocked at how little I was supposed to be able to eat. I'm not a great cook, and the dishes I do make are not on the diet that would restore my wellness. So. I had to start over. I'm good at research, so I took the time to look at a variety of websites and resources for what to eat. This book's illustrations are lovely and made me want to cook! I already had to buy out Whole Foods (God help you if you're on a restricted budget and you get this diagnosis). I might as well make some dishes that make me love eating again. This cook book has it all. I'll write more when I try some recipes, and I'm intrigued and WANT to make some of them. The recipes span from drinks, smoothies, sides, main dishes, to desserts and making condiments - most with images to help you understand what the food looks like when you're done. Thank you for giving me hope during this trying time!!! Update 2 months later on this diet: This cook book single-handedly saved me. The recipes are clear and delicious! I'm rather amazing in the cooking and baking now, because I can't go out to eat (and when I do, it's rather a catastrophe). The soups are DIVINE! My favorite that I've made a few times is the Thai Coconut-Lentil soup. The chai tea is really stinking good - and spicy! Ann Boroch, thank you for sharing your wisdom. These are dishes I will continue to make the rest of my life because they're tasty! Review: Fabulous cookbook - This book is really a life saver! I have seen candida cookbooks that were full of truly dreadful recipes. This one is the best I've found by far. The recipes are very interesting. The flavors in some of the recipes are very complex, in my opinion, due to a masterful blend of ingredients and different spices. I like that there are many vegetarian options. I would say that the difficulty level is moderate. There are not a lot of quick-and-easy recipes, aside from some of the snacks, dips, etc. So you will invest a bit of time when cooking these. But it is very much worth it, because the flavors are great, and the food is very healthy for you. The author seems to go very light on salt, so I always add additional salt. The recipes are also generally low in fat. My candida overgrowth has been under control for several months now, but I sitll come back to this book because of the healthy, interesting, tasty recipes. It is probably my favorite cookbook.

Helpful information and recipes
This book is really sturdy for a paperback, which is great for a recipe book. Being on the Candida Diet, it has been a helpful starting place for recipe ideas. There is a good variety. They range from tolerable to really tasty. The index could have more cross referencing so that you can find recipes easier. The four week plan is very helpful, but it would be more so if page numbers were included beside each recipe to make it easier to find them.

This One Book is All You Need!!!
I love this book! This is the one book I needed on Candida. It starts with a brief, but comprehensive explanation of what Candida is and how it wreaks havoc on various body systems. Then there is a written test so you can figure out exactly how likely it is that you have been invaded by Candida. Just when you discover in tears that indeed, you are a victim you get a nice list of foods to eat and foods not to eat and why. Even a shopping list! Lots of foods donโt make the cut. There is a brief (okay slightly extended) period of mourning here.... Then the recipes with gorgeous photos!!!! It was a little hard to go out to dinner on day 2. I had to eat sunflower seeds and chicken beforehand and watch the others eat biscuits, potatoes, cake, etc. I felt good the next day, though. The cravings are subsiding, bloating is almost gone, brain is working better, pants are looser and I have more energy. I also started using Mary Ruthโs Pre-Probiotic Enzymes for Candida. I feel like these have been helpful for my digestion.

Thank you Ann Boroch!
I did the Candida Cure 90 day program in 2011 and I am doing it again this spring. It's the most effective plan for getting your body back in balance I've found. This time I ordered this cookbook and I've been using it for about six weeks now. I've tried a good 50% of the recipe and they've all been delicious (our favorites are the lime chicken, the arrowroot wraps and the tapenade). I've been so grateful to have it! I don't think it repeats any of the recipes that are in the recipe section of the Candid Cure book, so if you have both of them you will have a lot of ideas to choose from. I recommend going with the paperback over the kindle because it is much easier to reference (which you'll be doing a lot especially if you are just learning how to tackle candida). The book itself has beautiful food photography, easy to follow recipes, and easy to read type, which is something I really appreciate in a cookbook. My only suggestion to the publisher is to choose a heavier binding for the next edition, as it is starting to separate a little bit.

Interesting but functional?
There are some interesting recipes in the book. But, there is no chance that I will follow her menus. Just do not want to spend that much time cooking. Many would require as much time as cooking three dinners, and two snacks. Each day's menu is different. A better idea might be planned left overs to be use as snacks or a different days lunch/dinner. Maybe she understands that people will naturally do just that. But please tell me why there are no page numbers provided for the menu dishes. Most days have six dishes to prepare and no reference as to where the recipes are located in a 200 (+) page book.

Helpful book for me
The beginning of the book narrative info is worth it all for me. Has good info you can apply to any recipe. I haven't tried the recipes, but they look pretty good. Lots of ingredients, but don't appear nearly as complex to prepare as many of the reviews state. But mostly, I wanted the basic rules of candida do's & don't foods--which this gives that I couldn't find anywhere else along with meal ideas. Sad no bookstores anymore to look and choose a book, but this was a good online gamble for me. Glad I got it. I'm sure I can dumb down the recipes that look good, but I don't have the inclination to spend time making.
