Broke in 6 months
They seem to be sturdy, however, both of the tie out broke in 6 months. My dog weighs 21lbs so it’s definitely not from strength or weight of the dog.

It probably won't last very long.
I have a Jack Russell/Kishu Inu mix. Only 33lbs, but VERY strong. He's a rescue & is an escape artist, slices through everything but metal. He snapped his first tie out for 90lb dogs, like it was cut. Slices through anything material. The plastic coating doesn't last long at all, as soon as I see a crack, I duck tape it to keep moisture out so the metal won't rust & snap. I bought metal inserts for the loops the hooks are on, so they don't snap apart. Sadly, it advises not to use it in the winter, but what else can be used? JR's jump over 5' fences, can climb chain link fences, & will run through electric fences. thick Metal chains alone are too heavy.

Quality tie-out
I bought this tie-out in June of 2016 and I'm still currently using it. My dog is around 60 pounds and was a very good escape artist and had managed to chew through or break previous tie-outs, which is why I went with this one for 125-pound dogs. She went blind around a year ago so she's been a lot less hard on it this past year but we live in Michigan and the winter weather isn't exactly forgiving. Yes, the plastic covering will eventually break, that doesn't mean the tie-out is broken. Yes, it will get tangled, it's a long rope made of wire, untangle it. I keep the end I clip to the dog on a hook outside my back door, not on the ground, and it's covered by an overhang and I haven't had any issues with it rusting. The other end that is exposed to the elements has rusted but I don't use the clip, I looped it through itself around a post on my deck so I didn't have to worry about the clip failing. Definitely going to buy another one of these as I consider 5+ years of use for such a low price well worth it.

Works for a while, but can get twisted up and stays that way
Works for a while, but when twisted or kinked, it never seems to straight up again. Also, if the dog gets tangled up around a person, it is very painful if pulled tight and all twisted, like with an eager dog running around kids and parents. This was not a permanent situation - we got this until we got a fence built around our yard, and it served it's purpose.

Easy to see in the grass, great for short periods in our un-fenced front yard. Needs heavier snaps
I use a tie out cable only occasionally when I am out in the (unfenced) front yard and want the hands free company of a dog. Our old cable finally frayed after six years and this one is the replacement. I like the lighter weight of this cable - it doesn't drag against the collar and my dogs don't feel tied up. The reflective coating on this one is easy to see in the green grass and brown fall leaves - plus the bright orange stops at each end are very easy to spot.I'm using this with dogs ranging from 55lbs to 90lbs and it's holding up fine. That being said, I absolutely never leave my dogs on any sort of tie unsupervised or alone for even a minute. It's not safe and a dog living on a chain can develop behavior and aggression problems. My guys just hang out with me while I do yard work and this tie out cable allows them to be with me safely with no risk of chasing a squirrel into the street. The snaps on this are a bit weaker than I actually like - I replaced them with a heavy duty pair of bull snaps from the local feed store.

indistructable light cable tie out lead
I can not put into words how much this lead has made my life almost normal again. I'm a 79 year old lady w/walker who found a little puppy and decided to give it a forever home. Well that 4 week old puppy started growing and growing and I don't have a fenced in yard and wouldn't just let her out on her own so my growing puppy had to stay in the house and use puppy pads she was then 40 pounds. Then my granddaughter mentioned a lead and I found this lead on Amazon, it's light weight and 28 feet long with a well attached clip at each end she has tried to chew through it many times and didn't succeed (she's app. 50 lbs. now and 6 months old). Now she goes out 4 or 5 times a day we're both happy and folks if you have a large puppy or dog your crazy if you don't look into this product. <><

Good tough leads stand up to goats. Multi-season/year use. Hardy, durable.
UPDATE:Bought another one this year. Looks a little fancier, is a little more supple. Still works amazing! My older leads are all in good working order, despite having left them out over winter (oops)... and pretty much every season all year long... And keeping 100-150lb goats where I need them, despite their best escape attempts. Would absolutely continue to buy these! Someday I'll need to replace my abused ones, but having a few more around would be handy. I keep one in the trailer to keep the goats in place during transit, I've used them as clothes drying lines, I've even used them to bring down hay bales from the top of the stack from a safe distance. Love em!I use these to tie my goats out for select grazing. They work wonderfully. I normally get the 60-100lbs cords (various brands), even though the goats are 150lb~. They have always done well, but the goats are excellent at making tiny knots and tight kinks, which after a year of twisting, knotting, weathering, and tugging, they start to degrade- and reasonably so. So I went with a heavier duty this time, hoping it would reduce kinking and knotting. So far so good. The boys have spent a full day on the lines without a knot or tangle. If I ever have a problem I'll be sure to update my review, but so far I'm very satisfied!

Not made for colder climate.
Not made for Alberta climate. The coating began to crack when it got cold. There were too many to count. It eventually peeled right off in some areas. I didn’t have this issue with the last tie out I had. It didn’t last very long.....

Good leash, until first harsh winter
This is the 2nd one I have purchased in 2 years... Great until the first winter when plastic cracks in the cold and metal line rusts... it will frey and break (near the collar 80% time). I was able to fix my first leash a few times with a clamp by the collar... it is cheap in price, probably really good in warmer climates, but not very many things can withstand -37 to -45 degree celcius weather, so worth it for me even if I only get a couple years out of it.

Don't waste your money poor quality product.
This cord is not strong or sturdy, the plastic coating is weak and brittle and cracks. This didn't even last 4 months! I do not recommend buying this product as you will not get a refund when it breaks down. I have bought previous dog leads that have lasted at least eight or nine months. You should definitely try something else if you are using this outside.

Inexpensive, Quality Tie-out Cable
I've purchased a couple of these, one for the front yard and one for the backyard. We use these every time we put the dog out to go to the bathroom. They work great but occasionally the release will stick a bit which can be a bit uncomfortable on your thumb. Also, if you leave them out in cold weather... that release will freeze and you will need to use the warmth of your hand to get it to open.I would recommend these. If I need another, I'll buy one of these again.
