This cable is excellent for connecting up your older devices to newer devices especially Mac computers. No need for a dongle to attach it to USB type C. The speeds are exactly what you would expect. I have seen no issues in compatibility. I’ve used it with both Mac and PC. The cable seems to be a high-quality and I have been using it for a few years now without any complaints. The cable is a matte black, which I quite like. Very good quality for the money. Highly recommended.

I have probably a million USB B to USB A printer cables around, but nearly everything is moving to USB C and I didn't have any that went to USB C. You could use a USB A to USB C adapter on one of the old cables but my adapter was throwing fits with my scanner, and it wasn't working properly.So I bought this cable, and it serves me perfectly and works well with my scanner, and it will probably work just fine with your printer. Just know that one end is the newer USB C and not the older USB A.

Summary: You can't go wrong with any cables from Cable Matters.As it mostly used for a printer cable, you can't go wrong here. My use case was for a DAC and it works well, I would have liked a cable that has more shielding - minor however. Overall, a great cable for the price from a great company.

Refreshing to see a cable where someone obviously put thought into the details—it’s sturdy, unobtrusive, but also has personality and a nice pop of color. And finally, a Velcro fastener that doesn’t look like an afterthought! It’s even got neat printing underneath the textured side, which makes me wish I had more cords this pleasant to look at.Oh, and I almost forgot to mention functionality. It snaps into the slot and does what it’s made to do. I use this cable for recording music and it’s so effortless I don’t even think about it—which is exactly what I want from a cable.

This does exactly what you’d expect. I use it to connect and download CDs to my computer, and it works perfectly for that—but it’s also useful for a variety of other things. It comes in multiple lengths, so you can pick what best suits your setup. The price is reasonable, especially for something that’s held up well with regular use.
