Easy to read style and a great accompaniment to the software. As a relative beginner, I don't find myself lost in the terminology.

Good reference to supplement online videos
There are tons of Ableton Live how-to videos on You tube, and that's a great way to learn. But I also want a reference guide that I can look things up in. This serves well. The index and table of contents are both good (important!) and the general layout is quite good. I found myself reading through various parts of the book, and learned a lot of useful techniques. The illustrations are quite good which is also very helpful. You find key things on the screen for the program.Something bothers me about this book. It may be the writing style for the introductions for each chapter, which go on about creativity but aren't very creative. Or it may be the workman-like description of program functions - but I shouldn't complain, that's what I bought it for. It's not inspiring per se, but does really teach what you need to know to get the most out of Ableton Live.I recommend it.
