Would this be good to record with using a USB audiobox?

Hey, yes the sound is amazing. Also, there is no noise. Real good reproduction of the entire sound spectrum of the guitar. You could go for this without a second thought. Also, the resonance is amazing.

Will this work with Epiphone DR-100?

The unit is 4 inches in diameter where it slips into the guitar sound hole with a slightly larger lip to prevent it from falling completely into the body. If the opening on your Epiphone is 4 inches, give or take 1/8 of an inch it should fit without any issues. Works well on my Martin.

Does this work with nylon strings?

No, you need a piezo style pickup. This particular pickup also would not fit the mounting hole in any of my acoustic guitars.

Does installation require removing the strings? How does it stay in the sound hole?

I was able to install mine without removing the strings, but I had to use a dremel tool and grind off rubber all the way around the outer edge, quite a bit in order to get it to fit into the sound hole. I would contact the seller after measuring the diameter of your guitar’s soundhole, to ensure that it will fit.

I use it in a guild D55 and it sounds very authentic. Lots of out put so I can line it directly into board. It’s east to install and remove from the soundhole. No noise whatsoever, it is a very clean signal. Exactly what I was looking for. The cord is permenant my attached and quite rugged.

I like it. Very good quality. Have not tested yet, I was out of my home. Will add additional comments after some test. Finally installed and tested. It is more than I expected. Sounds amazing and clean. Just what I need. Installed on Alvarez DY 38. Was difficult to install in the beginning, but later figured out and installed, fits perfectly.
