a great conversation starter
There are few things that can improve someone's life quite like being introduced to floating, and this book is perfect for that.

playful and floaty
Artwork from the Void explores art inspired by the removal of all external stimuli -- no light, no sound, no gravity. Produced by Float On, a float tank center based in Portland, 150 artists experienced sensory deprivation and then created these unique pieces of art. Float tanks are sound-proof, light-proof tubs containing 200 gallons of water kept at body temperature. Nearly 850 pounds of Epsom salt is dissolved inside each tank, making them more buoyant than the Dead Sea. A beautiful view into the creative process, the resulting images are ethereal, playful, and well, floaty.-- Vicky Thompson, New Connexion Journal

Mind expanding art... all from float tanks
It's amazing what the mind can create... it's even more amazing to know that the pieces of art in this book were inspired by sessions in a sensory deprivation tank. A lot of water and mind pieces. A lot of things that don't make sense, but I can definitely appreciate them because sometimes floating doesn't make sense, lol.
