Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Giddy Buggy Bug-Catching Net

This net is such high quality and its super cute. We purchased other butterfly nets last summer and they all broke within a week. My kids like to run around the yard and catch lizards, try to catch dragonflies and butterflies, and somehow even play with the nets in the sandbox. And this net is still in perfect condition. Love Melissa and Doug toys for this reason. The toys are functional, promote creative play and they don’t break! Hooray!

PERFECT for moth catching in the house. I couldn't find any reference to the size bug appropriate for the netting -- however, this is perfect for moth sized bugs. I had an invasion of clothes moths from an unknown source for the first time in 40 years. I use 8 separate "sticky" traps all over the house -(from Amazon), and I use the nets for catching the few that are missed by the traps. Each trap has at least 40 bugs stuck inside, dead. I have a freezer for wool garments to kill the larvae. The flying bugs don't do the actual damage -- its the larvae. I'm still concerned about that --- BUT, getting back to the net ---- this is great size, weight and the color allows me to see the moth inside the netting before I end their miserable life. I have much heavier dedicated fish nets for that use.AY

I bought this net not for butterflies...but to scoop leaves out of our little frog-pond. The handle isn't that long, but it's sufficient. The net is quite strong, because wet leaves are very heavy, and the net held! The frame is durable. And...the net is very cute! For the price, I'm very satisfied!

Netting material is sturdy, product is well made. Kids will not break this easily! Very cute design. Great Buy!!

I use these for transferring my birds when needed because I can't find a satisfying bird net anywhere for some strange reasons. Its ring is big enough for me to predict and enclose my birds and not accidentally hit them, but small enough to move around cage (I have pretty big one). Won't say it's top quality tool but it's good enough for the price, sturdy and not fall apart yet.

Got this net for my 6 great old daughter who just loves catching all kinds of creatures in the yard. It is perfect! It is sturdier than the cheap nets I'm used to buying and has so far held up to vigorous use (and maybe a little abuse...), by both she and her little sister who is 3. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend!

My kids pretty much make a full time job of catching critters-both in water and out-have had these nets for over a year and they have withstood unbelievable feats without a single tear. Worth every freaking penny-literally saved my sanity probably 100 times-if not more....

I purchased one of these for my granddaughter about 6 years ago and it finally broke. I replaced it with this one and she absolutely loves it. It's a neat bug catcher as it fits little children's hands but has a good weight too...not to heavy and not too light weight. Perfect!

I bought it for my granddaughter to use at the cottage. Looks sturdy enough to even catch frogs. She is afraid of spiders so I am encouraging her to have to look at them closer. This should do it. I have purchased Melissa and Doug products over the years for my granddaughter and always happy with the quality.

Exactly as pictured, it’s lasted a week so far with my son playing with it in the house. (Usually things will break within a few days if they’re made cheaply with him) It’s a well made net, recommend this item. Arrived faster than expected. :)

I purchased this net for a gift for my grandson. I have not given it to him yet, but not looks Sturdy and the price was reasonable.
