Pucked: The Pucked Series, Book 1 Review: I love this Pucking book!!!! - You know that feeling you get when you finish reading a book? Your heart feels all gushy inside, and you have a cheesy grin on your face? Well this book will give you that feeling! I have followed Helena Hunting from her Fandom days. This was and is still one of my favorite stories! I want to give a huge applause to Mrs.Hunting for being so versitile. She made my heart break and bleed, then swoon with the tortured love in the "Clipped Wings" series. Seriously to this day after hundreds of books Hayden is my #1 book boyfriend! Then with the "Librarian Principle" she had me hot and bothered with a sexy as hell Principle. With this book she had me hysterically laughing, sometimes cringing with the things that Violet would word vomit, and making my heart full of gushy love for one sexy NHL hockey player named Alex Waters!!! I love the relationship that they have together. It's cute and sweet, clumsy, sexy, nerdy, and puckhawt! I love the pet names they give each others.......sexy parts! I think it's adorable, plus it's something diffrent! The sex.... Ah-maz-ing! There were a few times I had to fan myself lol. I didn't feel like it was too much, or repetitive at all! I thought all of the sex scenes added something to the story. I thought it was just enough and if I'm being honest... I would have loved more! It's only because I love them so much though. I could never get tired reading about them. It is so nice to read about a heroine who isn't broken and a shell of a person. Violet is sassy and sexy and so pucking hilarious! And Alex.... sigh... it's so refreshing to read about a Hero who isn't damaged and runs away from his lady. He's so sweet! I also loved all of the side characters. Especially Buck, Skye, and Robbie. I loved Violet and Buck's jabs at each other and also Alex and Buck's. I want to hang out with with Alex's dad Robbie, and Skye reminds me so much of my mother lol. There isn't one single bad thing I could say about this book! You have made me swoon yet again Helena with your witty words and awesome Characters! I am a forever fan of yours, and I will read anything you write!!! I seriously love your face.... and awesome brain for writing such amazing things! If your reading this review... stop what your doing and one click it right now! What are you waiting for??? This is a funny, sweet, hilarious read, that I promise you won't regret! Review: Devoured it, loved it and now I need more from this world!! - 4.5 STARS My previous read was a bit of a disappointment, so what better way to get out of a reading funk than by picking up a sports romance! Pucked was everything I hoped; an amusing and sizzling read, set in the world of ice hockey! Violet was such an entertaining character! She has no filter and says exactly what she thinks. I loved her sense of humour and she often had me laughing out loud! She likes to ‘jill off’, she gives names to the male and female privates, and is a pretty laid back girl. She was attracted to Alex from the start, but honestly didn’t think that it would become anything serious, especially because of his reputation. Alex was a great match for Violet! I could see he was taken by surprise with how forward she was, but it seemed to attract him even more. I liked that he would get a little shy, despite being the captain of his team and a very high profiled character. He was obsessed by Violets boobs, which I thought was hilarious too! He chased after Violet, wanting to pursue the connection they had. He did a lot of sweet things, but like a man, pucked it up! Violet and Alex’s story was pretty entertaining; they get along so well and have a lot in common. Neither of them were looking for commitment, but they fell hard for one another. I liked the secondary characters too; Charlene, Buck and Darren in particular. Even Violet’s mother Skye is the queen of too much information, she was funny! But the road to happiness is not always smooth, and some goals that were set prior to Alex and Violet getting together, threaten to tear them apart. The epilogue was sweet, but a bit corny, so that’s probably the only downer for me… but it showed that Violet had no plans on changing her quirky ways!

4.5 steamy pucking stars
I'm not a big fan of sports romances, which is kind of weird bc I love sports (or maybe that's why I don't like the?).... but this one was the best I've read by far! Puck Bunny = a female ice hockey fan whose interest in the sport is primarily motivated by sexual attraction to the players rather than enjoyment of the game itself. ... and Violet Hall is NOT one. Her step-brother is hockey player in every sense of the word - never has a girl around longer than 1 night and is even proud of his man-ho status. So when she meets Alex Waters, one of her step-brother's teammates after a game one night, she fully intends to tell the man with the playboy rep to take a walk... but there is something about him that makes her want to give him a chance. Alex Waters grew up playing hockey and is now living his dream as the captain of one of the best teams in the league. While many hockey players also have ice skater experience, Alex spent longer than most in that endeavor, and when he first joined the NHL as a young man, he was told he needed to toughen up his image and come across as more masculine. When rumors started about him being a player on and off the ice, he just let people assume they were true, but now that he has met Violet and wants her to take him more seriously, he is having a hard time convincing her that he is not the guy he's portrayed as in the tabloids. When push comes to shove, will Alex sacrifice his reputation and possible endorsement deals to prove to Violet that he is the man she needs? What I liked: --- Violet's character is hilarious - she has no filter and I loved it! --- Alex sounds DELISH - and his MC sounded ah-mazing - lol! --- Not overly angsty, and I like that Violet stuck to her guns and refused to settle for anything less than what she felt she deserved --- STEAMY GOODNESS, early & often and super delish! What I didn't like as much: --- Violet was a little TOO stubborn at times; I felt like she could have had a little more give --- There were some over-the-top moments with Violet where she came across as immature Overall, this was a pleasant surprise for me! I really enjoyed the story, the characters, the humor, and the steamy goodness! Plot --- 4.5/5 Main Characters --- 4.5/5 Supporting Cast --- 4/5 Steam Level* --- 4.25/5 (early and often!) Violence --- nothing graphic (hockey fights) Language --- some POV --- Dual (mostly Violet) *Note that steam level is not a rating so much as a how hot was it: 0/5 - clean; 1/5 - mild (nothing descriptive); 2/5 - 3rd base action/1 home run; 3/5 - now we're getting somewhere (a couple of full-on steamy scenes); 4/5 - yes please! (erotica territory); 5/5 - they did EVERYTHING in this one, y'all

Pucked is the book that got me hooked on Hockey Romances and made me a Helena Hunting fan for life! This book has everything you could possibly want in a romance read. Filled with hot, sexy naked times that will melt your Kindle and the two people doing the dirty - everywhere you should and lots of places you shouldn’t- are fantastic characters that you are going to love and follow religiously throughout the series. Alex and Violet are polar opposites in so many ways and that’s what makes reading their crazy loving story so enjoyable. I loved every moment in their up and down relationship and their happily ever after was sexy, sweet and well deserved. TBR and Enjoy!

*5 Stars* Well, I finally got around to reading Pucked, after a long time of wanting to get to it, and I was not disappointed. Good lord this book was awesome. Violet and Alex were fantastic main characters, and I loved each and every moment that they spent together. They were hilarious, they were sweet, they were sexy, but above all they were perfect for each other. I enjoyed the secondary characters in this book too, they helped make it what it is, and have certainly left me wanting more for follow up stories. This is going to be a fave series of mine, I can tell already. I also really enjoyed the fact that this was well and truly a sports romance. Some sports romance novels you get a little bit of the sport here and there, but in Pucked, we get a tonne of hockey and hockey players and game descriptions. I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of the book, just as much as I did with all the others. I highly recommend this book, I loved everything about it, and I can’t wait to continue the series. Oh, and where can I get one of those beavers? 😉

Alex and Violet are so good together. Despite him being a hockey player and her brother’s teammate, they have great chemistry and he understands her. Even though she’d sworn off hockey players and even fooling herself thinking it isn’t serious. But then again we all know that certain feelings can just creep up on you and no matter how hard you fight against it sometimes giving in is the only remedy. And then there’s the getting caught by you brother and team while getting it on in the locker room.
