I first bought a mat from a different manufacturer. Failed out of the box. Returned it and got the SVD.PET mat. Easy to set up. And it works (two cats). In fact once the cats learn they don't like the mat I don't even have to turn it on. Only regret- I should have bought a slightly bigger mat."Easy to Fold"??? I don't think I'd fold it, or at least don't crease it. I store it rolled up.

This is the first nights sleep I've gotten in months. I have 2 male fixed cats that both have severe separation anxiety and just cannot stand when the humans in the house go to sleep. (And we love our furbabies, we've had them since we took a foster pregnant momma in, and she gave birth to them in our house, so getting rid of them is a nogo). So, they scratch and scream outside my door all night, and if the bedroom door is open, prepared to get feet attacked, face slapped, or elbows bit. I put this mat outside my door, and all I can say is, I wish I could throw all of the wasted money on all of the collars/medicine/calming crap I've spent trying to 'calm' my cats, and put that every penny into this company/mat/whomever invented this. It worked. I want to scream with happiness, cry, laugh; I can't even explain how happy my wife and I are to finally be getting some sleep now.FYI: We put it on static lvl 3 right off the bat. Both our cats touched it once and never came back to it again. They're very clever cats: open doors, scratch their way into and out of cabinets, but they instantly gave up and never tried to work their way around it (which we thought they would). And they both seem completely fine and extra more loveable than ever once we got up.Updated: Broke after 4 months of use, but was still nice while it lasted.

Consistently does not work, static shock does not activate when our cat or dog steps on it. Our catwill even lay on the mat and it won’t chirp or shock. Then it will randomly chirp with nothing on it. We have 3 of the same mat and they all exhibit the same lack of performance. I would have returned them if the return window hasn’t already closed 2 weeks ago. That’s what I get for procrastinating

So far it’s working as intended. Although I also have used the PetSafe brand in the past and I like that one better. This one was cheaper though so I decided to try it out. I’ve only had to use the tone option thus far because that scares my kitties off when they’re clawing on the carpet where they shouldn’t be. However, the light blinks blue when it’s on, so if you have it in your bedroom at night it will be lighting up constantly even when not beeping. The beeping is super loud even on the lowest setting, and I live in an apartment so hopefully it’s not bothering anyone. I’ve pressed my foot on it pretty hard and it takes a lot for it to beep, but that could be because I have socks on. Regardless, the cats stay away from it so it’s doing it’s job. Overall it seems to be working fine. Will update if I have any issues after changing the batteries as some people have.

I bought a different pet mat before this and both it and its replacement died within 3 weeks of use. I’ve had this mat for going on three months and it’s so much better. Sturdier, I like all the options for shock vs sound and it has never failed to turn on (I turn it off every morning and back on at night). Keeps the cat from scratching the heck out of the bedroom door. Recommended

My dog got on the couch once and that was it. Got up and right back down. My mom sat on it and didn’t know. She placed her hand down and come out w some bad words!!!

The mat worked great for keeping my dogs off the couch. I'm only sorry that it stopped working after 6 months. Very disappointing.

The mat has 3 modes and 5 intensity levels: beep, static and beep+ static. After two times, my dogs stopped trying to step on the couch. It requires a 9 volt battery, not included. I keep the mat on the couch during the day to keep the dogs off the couch but, I must say, they just stopped trying. Good buy

My corgi is sneaky. She gets onto my couch whenever we aren’t home or sleeping. Then she gets onto the coffee table and chews anything.I bought this mat in hopes of stopping her, and it worked like a charm.I really like the options of less of a zap because she’s not a huge dog.
