Is this product meant to *replace* the "enzymatic oral hygiene chews for cats" my vet has prescribed for years that have disappeared from the market?

Why did virbac discontinued the oral hygiene chews? These seem very different.

I called the manufacturer, and they were unable to give a reason. It's very disappointing, that's for sure.

Can you bring back the original enzyme treat?

My wife said they are bring back the original soft dental treats but have not seen any thus far.

How does this prevent plaque when the first 4 ingredients create plaque?
