I bought a condo with a very old jet tub which probably was never cleaned. I have been working on it for months. I can't get a lot of the pieces off or the jets out so this is my last resort to just keep at it using Yuk every week. The mould is dissipating but not yet running clean. I have done three cycles of Yuk so far.

We purchased a home recently that has a Jacuzzi jet tub in the master bath. My wife used Oh Yuk per the instructions and two days later a yellow-tinted stain [6 inches by 12 inches] has appeared on the ceiling of the room under the Jacuzzi tub. It appeared that the product worked in cleaning the tub and piping. The product did produce a yellowish foam. We don't know the age of the tub and the condition of the associated pump, piping, seals and gaskets. We don't know yet much about the compatibility of this chemical blend with our tub wetted parts and materials. But, there was no ceiling stain or wetness prior to the product application. There is no inspection port or easy access to the "under-workings" of the tub. I will try to update this post once we have completed enough demolition to know what's happened. I am curious if anyone else has had a similar problem.

After moving into our new home two months ago, I thought I had our jetted tub pretty well cleaned using standard cleaners. Boy, was I wrong. This Oh Yuk cleaner revealed just how much waxy soap scum was lurking in those internal jet lines that I couldn't see or reach. The product works exactly as advertised. It creates this bubbling action that literally pulls gunk out of the hidden plumbing. I was honestly shocked at the amount of waxy buildup that came floating to the surface. No other cleaner I've tried has been able to reach into those internal lines and extract this kind of deep-seated residue. Fair warning: the bubbling effect does leave debris on the tub surface itself, so plan on doing a follow-up cleaning of the actual tub after treatment. I don't mind this extra step because the deep cleaning results are worth it. It's like the difference between wiping down your kitchen counter versus actually disinfecting behind the appliances. The two 16-ounce bottles give you multiple treatments, and knowing it's septic safe was important for us. If you have a jetted tub that gets regular use, this isn't just a luxury purchase, its a must.

Love this product, it does what it’s made for. The gunk in the Jets are obvious and it pulls it out efficiently. I keep coming back to this brand because I notice it works. I use it every 3 cycles of Jacuzzi usage.
